Superior room excellent location.

Posted Aug 28, 2017
Stayed in the superior room which is smaller than the studio which was surprising because usually the title studio means a small room. Room was okay size was expecting it to be a little bit bigger however the price must be in the location of the hotel. Stayed there for a weekend for a birthday. Towels had wine stain on it and bathroom door was hard to close. Toilet paper holder was broken. If you're there for a couple nights stay and mainly out then this is a good hotel! If you want luxury then perhaps looks elsewhere.

The room and facilities were old and dated- particularly the bathroom. The room didn't match the quality of the pictures online.

Nice hotel in centre of Adelaide

Posted Jul 17, 2017
Pros: The hotel was quiet and clean and in a great location.
Cons: Some drawers to put small items of clothing in would be handy.
Location: Being on Rundle Mall you are within easy walking distance of all the major shops. The art gallery, museum and botanic gardens are easy to walk to.
I spent four nights at this hotel during the first week of July. The hotel is in a very central position on Rundle Mall. The taxi driver drove down a small alleyway and the hotel was less than a minute away from where we stopped. When checking out, it just takes a minute or so to walk to the end of the mall where there is a 24-hr taxi rank. So, it's easy to get to and from the hotel, despite it being on a mall. There is a cafe cart right in front of the hotel, so it's easy to get breakfast in the morning. The hotel staff are nice, friendly and helpful. The hotel has been around for a long time and it has been renovated at various times. I had a nice room on the top floor. There were nice touches, such as being provided with dressing gowns, and there were bath salts for the bath. There is a bar fridge, which is handy. I would have liked some drawer space, so that I could have put away underwear and socks, but it's not a big deal for a short stay. The hotel is very close to all the main sights of the city - it's easy to walk around.

Great location

Posted Jun 1, 2017 on Wotif
Pros: As above
Cons: As above
Location: As above
The location of this hotel could not be better. Right, slap in the middle of everything, yet it was also quiet. Our room was toward the rear of the hotel. Our room was OK (a bit dull as the only window had dusted crystal on the glass for privacy). The welcome from the receptionist was great and she knew all about Adelaide and was so helpful. Our only concern was the state of the public areas of the hotel. They are very very very dated and tired and need attention. We like taking the stairs (rather than the lift) and I don't think the stairs had been cleaned in the last 12 months. Not good.

Hotel Richmond

Pros: Everything was wonderful.
Cons: Milk for coffee and tea.
Location: Shopping in Rundle Mall. If my time were longer it is near museum, art gallery, sporting events at Adelaide oval and tennis courts and central markets
Arrived and greeted by reception and we spoke about Darwin which is my place of residence. She spoke about Nightcliff. They gave me a meal discount voucher for their restaurant. Once I checked in I wander around the mall that I last visited over twenty years ago. Many changes in the mall. The restaurant had character with theme connected to 1920's which was enjoyable. The meal was simple and delicious the chicken sitzel was tender and the chips were crunching and yummy. I had a soak in the bath and they provide bath crystals.

this hotel is very handy rooms are clean

Posted May 8, 2017
Cons: there function room
Location: shops are handy
My experience was horrific they had functions on 3 nights in a row and the noise was un bearable if they want to have functions they need to warn guests that they will get no sleep, I can not believe that the noise was so horrific. I had gone to the this hotel to meet and catch up with family from Perth and ended up all restaurants and bars were closed to guests and guests had no where to go. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay there again which is sad as the rooms a very nice and very clean. We also found that when we did have a meal there the music was so loud we coudnt talk and this was 6 at night

The room is nice, the reception and lobby is clean and tidy. The only downside is the state if the stairwell. But I would stay again
