The Oaks Embassy

The hotel staff while quick and friendly were unprofessional, when I mentioned I had to return to work after checking in a Friday afternoon before completing my check in I was told "That sucks". This didn't bother me personally, but may turn off some customers.
The first room on the 7th floor, we were provided with had a locking mechanism that didn't seem to work. After a trip down to the lobby a staff member came up to investigate and got us in the room.
Once in the room, no chair was found for the in room desk. Plus oddly, no in room food service could be found, a charge back service for the lobby cafe was available however, no mention of this being brought to the room. Another oddity was there was no mini bar in our room, no drinks found in the fridge to charge back either.
Out on the balcony the fixtures were very corroded in several points and the whole area was visibly dirty with what looked like literally months of surface grime, railings were covered in spider webs and only one outdoor seat was available. Obscene writing on the ceiling of the balcony (in grime) was in clear site from a previous customer.
In the kitchen area, everything was quite clean, however the dishwasher was non functionable, after our room was made up, the dirty dishes were simply left in the washing machine. Only one single drinking glass could be found in the entire room.
The "double" bed was simply two singles put together with an incredibly uncomfortable ridge in the centre.
