Excellent hotel, very nice service

We spend here 6 days (all inclusive package). The hotel is very nice and clean. Good service, the room was big and with a nice private patio. The buffet menu is delicious and you will always find something that suits your taste.

Beautiful and room for improvment

The grounds and the outdoors are beautiful. The view of the mountains are gorgeous, but everyday the lobby stunk with a soap or something that gave me a headache. Our room was amazing with great space, but the heat was either on to high and it was just not as comfortable as it could have been.

Nice hotel for relaxing holiday

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Shower. However you tried to avaoid spillage water comes out always. Redesign....
Location: Location is not bad. Lots of bar and spa nearby.
Fantastic experience we had during Xmas. we have attended the XMAS meal as well. Food was great. Staffs are helpful. Little difficult with English but always they find some one else to help or explain. Lots of french speaking guests and French speaking staff. Very good SPA. Great food. Lots of tagine. Barbecue day and Moroccan day are the best. Room cleaning service is good. Strange issue is removing the towels first thing in the morning and replace it later in the day. In between time no towels! Very good swimming pool-heated. Pool bar is ok. Service is not as quick - but hey it is ok. We could wait.

Better 5* hotels out there....

Pros: Looked very nice from the outside.
Cons: Better training of staff on proper guest relations and education on hotel policies and regulations.
Location: Not much around to walk around and see. We ended up having meals at the hotel which can get expensive.
In all of the 5* hotels I have stayed at this was the worst in terms of the service and reception. We arrived after a long drive from Merzouga and the reception was in no hurry to check us in. It took over 45mins for us to get checked in and receive our room keys which is uncalled for especially with a 7 year old in tow!I was quite disappointed with the condition of the room for a 5* hotel. We had already paid for the room on Expedia and was then told no payment was received and we had to pay again. I had to them display the emails from Expedia showing confirmation of payment and had to have it verified by the Hotel manager before they accepted it. The bed was quite uncomfortable and the cleanliness of the bathroom could have been better. Our room also included 2 vouchers to the spa that my husband was using to bring my daughter to the indoor pool. We were then told that my daughter was not allowed in the indoor pool and that the voucher can only be used for the sauna. No where in their website or regulations did it specify children were not allowed in the pool. The Spa Manager was very dismissive and rude about this and was unable to show me any regulations about the pool. She then changed her story to say that kids were only allowed from 9-11am. I then spoke to the hotel Manager who said that he was unsure of why we couldn't use the pool and said that because we booked through Expedia this is the reason. Will never stay here again!

VERY COMFORTABLE

Pros: Comfort and facilities
Cons: The hotel needs updating as parts are becoming tired.
Location: The location is outside of the city and therefore restaurant and cultural visits take up extra time
A very enjoyable visit, our second, everything that could be done to make our stay enjoyable was done I recommend the red wine which has improved ten fold since our last visit

Misleading Suite Rooms & Terrible Service

This hotel was chosen on the basis that it accommodates a two bedroom suite with lounge, however the room represented via Expedia was not the room provided by the hotel and came to find out Kenzi Menara Palace official website has also been advertising room suite photos that are not what you actually get. These issues are not trivial whatsoever; imagine paying greatly for something which you have seen advertised both by Expedia and Kenzi Menara Palace sources and then to be given something significantly less — would you be disappointed? In addition to this, the hotel claims that VIP service is offered to guests staying in thei suites, well I/we did not experience any form of this service whatsoever and was treated quite the opposite as if we were not welcome in the hotel. They seem to be after your money so much so that they completely disregard how to approach and entice guests in spending their money, I would have gladly spent more at the Kenzi Palace yet I do not feel they deserved my money as their customer care and attention to detail is appalling. Furthermore, not once did the lady from Guest relations approach or contact me to inform me of anything that could be offered to their ‘VIP’ guests, if she had I may have spent on excursions and dined with them at one of the hotel’s restaurants during the evenings. To summarise, I have travelled many places across the world and this hotel is by far one of the ones I would not return to — I felt unwelcomed.

Cons: Possibly a bit more variety of food
Everything was excellent . From the point of arriving at the hotel to departure. Highly helpful staff, variety of food and entertainment and refreshments. The room was very clean. All the facilities were as expected of a 5* hotel. The three key people I would like to specifically mention are Amine, Salmma and Adil. They were all very helpful . In particular Salmma who had to leave reception to help me with printing some reports etc and Amine for extending my checkout and entertainment. The head Chef was also really helpful in showing and explaining different types of food

5 star but no airconditioning

Location: the shuttle to the medina was a great service, particulary given how shockingly dishonest Marrakech taxi drivers were. Don't let them drop you elsewhe
My greatest frustration is booking expensive hotels that aren't honest about their facilities. I like to sleep with aircon, expedia said it had aircon, but we arrive, and presumably because it's winter, they have a central control that prevents airconditioning. The room was stuffy so we were forced to open the balcony doors, which was ok the first 2 nights (bit of road noise) but the 3rd night they had a huge party in the alfresco dining, that went until 2am, it was like trying to sleep in a nightclub. It's quite annoying because you spend quite a bit of money to ensure you will be comfortable and well rested, that's why you pay 5 star hotels for, and I had to sleep with a door open with a nightclub. Not happy at all. Other than that, the hotel has lavish surroundings, but can't take away the deceiving aircon issue.

Will Defo Come Back

Pros: my Brother
Cons: Only downside was the shower, their is no hook for the shower so you are constantly holding it and the shower guard to protect the water from splashin
Location: 15/20 min drive from the main market sq, you will have to get a taxi for most things as there is nothing outside,
Me and my husband came here on the 29th October until 3rd November Staff were so helpful, the hotel room was so clean and spacious! the food at breakfast, lunch and dinner was great!! so much to choose from, very kid friendly hotel, a lot of families were here which was lovely!. Only downside was the shower, their is no hook for the shower so you are constantly holding it and the shower guard to protect the water from splashing isn't wide enough so expect wet floors and aching arms lol. Apart from that I loved it and really do miss it!
