Cambay Grand Ahmedabad - A nightmare

I reached hotel at 11pm and was made to wait till 12.30am as the rooms were not ready. I went to their 24hrs restaurant at 11.30pm for dinner and they informed me to come around 12 as they are busy closing the present buffet and at 12 they will start the light buffet. I again went at 12.15 and they informed that the light buffet will not happen and I can order some snacks from their menu. After check-in I was informed that my luggage which was handed over to Reception at about 11pm has been misplaced and they have not been able to trace it. I was asked if I can wait till next day morning as it was late and they cannot call up the recently checked in rooms to check if anybody had taken my luggage with them. When I strongly took up that matter with the reception guy, he called up the GM and they called up security incharge to come and check on cctv as to who took away my luggage. I assisted them in their efforts and could locate the guest room in which my luggage was dropped by the hotel porter at around 4.00am. After this nightmare when I reached the hotel room dead tired, the room had stains all over, The tea kettle was filthy. Could not sleep the whole night as the air conditioning wasn't working with just the blower being on. The staff, except for just a hand full, are absolutely non-professional and untrained. The housekeeping & maintenance is very poor. Overall a nice property getting wasted. It's time for the management to wake up.
