Charming, quiet, and comfortable!Posted Aug 7, 2015
We had a lovely stay. Easy walking distance to old town, rivers, & train station. Hotel staff was informative, extremely polite and even brought a fan to our room on the first night. Breakfast had something for everyone.

Wonderfully friendly, stylish and convenient!Posted Dec 3, 2013
Pros: The calm atmosphere, the demeanour of the owner and staff, the proximity to town and station and the locality.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: Koblenz is interesting as a city on the confluence of the Rhine and the Moselle. Particularly in December, it has the Christmas markets.
We stayed at this hotel in December having travelled by rail. We alighted the train at the first Koblenz station, which is more like a halt, by mistake but quickly found a taxi that only cost five euros. The main station is about the same distance. The staff were really welcoming and we had a wonderful room - very elegant and spacious and in fact more like a suite. There was English TV ( except ITV ) and tea and coffee making facilities as well as a well stocked mini bar. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the old town so really accessible. Walking back from a superb meal in one of the excellent restaurants in the old quarter is a good way to help the digestion! The breakfast was really good....a variety of cold meats ,cereals, fruit salads, bacon, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon etc. The lady who runs the hotel speaks several languages and is extremely friendly and efficient ... She remembers details which makes you feel really valued as a guest. We were really sorry when our stay came to an end but appreciated the ten minute walk to the main station . We look forward to visiting Koblenz again!

Great hotelPosted Sep 11, 2012
They provided excellent service. Not only did they go out of their way to accommodate us when our reservation was given away at another hotel. They helped us book our next hotel and have us detailed directions to get there...all with what appeared to be very genuine friendliness...

Well appointed hotel in good city centre locationPosted Jul 11, 2012
This hotel is very well appointed although a little old fashioned in feel. This is not a bad thing! Front desk staff very good and professional. Location good for exploring old town and riverside. Breakfast good. Recommended.

Great Time in KoblenzPosted Oct 22, 2011
Location: Altstadt is great. Deutsches Eck is great. We were there in oct-2011 and the BUGA was in town, which is the annual national flower festival. It changes city location year to year in Germany. We walked across the bridge into the town across the Rhein, which has a great pastry-coffee-tee shop. The castle is very cool. We took the Fenicula back across the river to the Alt Stadt with great view of the Eck. Many very good restaurants in the old city area. Great Rhein Weissweins. We took day trips to Trier and Mainz, which are great towns to visit for the day and stay for dinner.
Hotel is an 8 minute walk from Hauptbanhof and 10 minutes south of Altstadt. If you drive, the hotel has their own nearby parking lot. The owner is great and they have a wonderful german breakfast (more like a brunch) that is worth it if you get up late. The place is very clean and in a nice quiet area. Bed matresses were a little soft, but the rooms and bathroom are very large. Courtyard is secluded with lots of play houses for children. We took the trains in Germany since they are so convenient and easy to use. Make sure you have a map or good directions since the train station is very long and you can be dropped off before the main station building to the north, which means you will have to walk south and west to the hotel. If you arrive in the main station, you will need to walk north and west to Rizzastrasse.
