Masters Trip

We traveled from California to Aiken for The Masters. Upon arrival our room was very disappointing. Very dated and dirty. We had hair in our shower tub. The bed sheets were extremely itchy and of poor quality. In the middle of our first night we realized that both myself and my girlfriend were getting bites on our lower extremities while in our bed. How gross...we had bed bugs. The next day we checked in at the front desk and the hotel was very accommodating and was able to move us into a new room for our second night stay. The new room they assigned us to had been smoked in. No bed bugs but the smoke odor was prolific and for a non-smoker really difficult to remain in. The management at the front desk did everything in their power to accommodate our stay but the owner of this hotel needs to make some significant capital improvements before I could recommend any traveler that is a non-smoker looking for a clean room product choose them for a stay in Aiken.

should be torn down

Cons: everything
Location: 1/2 hour from Augusta National
What a rip off! They upped the prices for the masters however did not deserve over $50. The pool was dirty, the rooms were old and appeared dirty. When we arrived, we were to be in room 301 which stank from years of smoking and a lack of cleaning. Luckily there was another room available. I have nothing possible to say about this place. Suggest all avoid it.

The sky is falling

The ceiling had so many leaks in the past and was patched up so poorly it looked as though it was going to collapse at any time. No fan in the bathroom so nothing to get the moisture out. We won't be staying here if we are lucky enough to get Matsers tickets next year. Price was $200 a night which was cheaper than most others.

Needs a redo !!!

This is an old property; it totally needs to be redone inside and outside. The rooms appear shabby; however the shower was hot. The beds were uncomfortable, way too soft. The refrigerator was noisy, the carpet damp and wrinkled. Do not stay here !!!

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!

At arrival the clerk was not friendly. The room was located in the back near pool area. The pool was half full and dirty. The bath tub had dirty spots in it, red hairs around tub and shower rod was rusty. The shower curtain was also dirty. The top bed comforter was dirty with chocolate stains and cigarette burn holes in it. The top lock to the door was ripped off. The refrigerator made a loud noise every 5 mins. I complained to the clerk only to have him tell me, he'll informed his supervisor. I would never stay there again!!

Convenient and Clean Hotel

Rooms were in individual buildings away from the main check-in building. Rooms were clean and nice but no elevator for elderly. You will have to walk or drive to main building for continental breakfast. Staff was courteous and hospitable. The fish tank in the main building was an interesting conversation piece.

Convenient and low cost

Hotel was a bit dated and pretty basic but what I expected for the price. Stayed 5 nights, was pretty clean, breakfasts average, coffee not so good but starbucks and dunkin donuts across the street. Very convenient to shopping and restaurants.
