We stayed as a family vacation in the hotel for second time and it was wonderful Staff are very helpful and food is so delicious with so many options Views are to die for with mountain in one side and Red Sea like a magic carpet on the other side Very close to Cairo House keeping team is excellent and made our stay a memorable one We had so much beautiful memories and will definitely come back very soon

This hotel is a absolute dream come true! After traveling in nothing but dirt, mountains and construction you end up at a gorgeous 5 star resort. The rooms are all nice and great views. The Red Sea is perfect for swimming and water sports. There are cabana style areas with umbrellas and chairs. Food and bar service to the beach. The pool is the best part with a swim up bar with food service and cocktails, infinity pool and the back drop is a spectacular view of the mountains! I would return to Egypt if only for this location. Oh yes, the food was the best dinner I had on my whole trip!

This is a two-star hotel on five-star grounds. The pool, gardens and stunning beach setting are as advertised. The remaining parts of the hotel are super dated and in dire need of upgrades. Hotel rooms were dirty, with long hairs seen throughout and the bathrooms were stunningly in disrepair.

Mövenpick here is not Swiss
Mövenpick is a Swiss chain, but this hotel was bought by the french. I missed the Swiss touch. Went w friends, was caught guard that unmarried friends of opposite gender are not allowed even to enter the rooms of the other. Put a coldness on the stay. However, the hotel was good, the place was nice. Went in early January, when it's cold - given that, it was quite nice, a good little escape from Cairo.

This is a lovely resort with great amenities and food, however, it is probably better suited to families or young party goers than couples seeking respite and romance.

Overall good, rooms needs a little love
Overall it was a good stay! The superior room we stayed in the main building was just ok, it would do with some refurb as some tiles were broken/lifting up when walking and the bathroom for sure needed a freshen up (sink glass moving, silicone mouldy, toilet & bidet chipped). The dinner was ok, would have loved to see more vegetarian/fish options and perhaps some more international cuisines. Breakfast was good, fresh crepes/pancakes made in front of guests would have been appreciated and also extending it until 10:30/11am as some people would not wake up early on holiday! Some sun lounges at the beach were super old and need replacing and it would be nice not to have AC on in the lobby and corridors on 24/7 when there’s no need. It would also be nice to get some free snacks & fruit + water throughout the day.

Good location, service fraying at the edges
Location is great, as is the beach. However, it is unfortunate that the sea is "closed", swimming prohibited, before 09:00 and after 17:00 - there may be no lifeguard, but let people swim! Second downside, is a "24-hour-rooms service" that is closed at 11:00 AM, so it's impossible to order an early lunch. "Try again later", is the answer you get - at this level, "try harder."

Beautiful beach and pool area with nice restaurant. Beautiful garden area. Food overall was good but not great. Room was clean but very dated and bit run down. Enforcement of Covid guidelines posted were lax... asked staff on several occasions to enforce.

They need to establish the hospitality concept among employees; for example at checkout you can’t ask the guest to wait as we are checking the mini bar, they can can simply ask if we have used the mini bar. Just an example!

However we would like to reassure you on our hygienic procedures and point out that our hotel, like every other hotel of our company, undergoes regular internal and external controls on food safety and adheres to strict standards on food processing, manipulation and conservation; under no circumstances we would put our guests’ health at risk by offering food unfit for consumption.Moreover we reviewed our doctor logbook during this period with no reference to any complaint from the food . The hotel and its grounds are lovely, the accommodations are comfortable and clean with everything working properly, and the breakfasts and dinners in the hotel's restaurant are outstanding. This hotel caters mainly to Egyptian guests (mainly, it seems, whole families) and so there will be none of the late-night partying and drunken reveling so often encountered in the resorts further from Cairo which have mainly American and especially European guests. The hotel is located in a picturesque setting with many private villas flanking it. The nearby area of Ain Sokhna, however, is heavily industrialized and is a badly polluted eyesore.
