Good for an overnight stop close to Laon

Posted Jun 16, 2017
Pros: Good parking, onsite restaurant/bar and close to Laon.
Cons: Nothing really, it isn't a grand pace but perfectly good for an overnight stay.
Location: Laon is the main attraction. A fabulous medieval city atop a hill with amazing views in all directions. Wander the narrow streets and cathedral.
Perfect overnight spot outside of Laon which we wanted to visit. Chose the hotel as it has lots of parking and has a restaurant/bar so we could literally just fall into our rooms after a long day's driving and didn't have to go out again. Then, it is just a few minute's drive into Laon which is well worth stopping off for.

Unlike other budget hotel options, this hotel has a front desk that is manned 24hrs - an important consideration when you're going to be arriving past midnight...

This hotel is what it is - comfortable and in a good location for passing through or seeing Laon. Very helpful staff and good parking.

Nice hotel en route to ferry

Posted Aug 9, 2015
Pros: Comfortable room with nice facilities. Super restaurant, really good food. Nice staff in both hotel and restaurant.
Cons: Needs air conditioning. Room too hot but that is true across Europe and the UK. Bit of noise from road traffic because window open due to heat.
Location: Close to motorway en route to and from Calais. Looks like interesting town but can't dpsay as arrived too late to check it out.
Comfortable and clean, good facilities and pleasant staff. Lovely food in restaurant. Great stay if travelling with pets as dogs are made welcome. Definitely would stay here again.

Very comfortable beds

The hotel was very good, welcoming, excellent breakfast but disappointed that was so far from the centre on foot. There was very little room for clothes and hanging of towels. The staff was most helpful and friendly. I would recommend and go back to the hotel.

Overnight stay on way through France.

Excellent stop-off. Inexpensive, clean, easy to find and staff helpful. The old town of Laon - on top of the bluff and surrounding the cathedral - is an incredible step back on town. Find one of the small restaurants and eat up there.

Hostellerie St. Vincent in Laon a useful stopover

A comfortable and inexpensive hotel close to the autoroute. A useful stopover not far from Calais. We have used this hotel many times when travelling to or from the UK. Very convenient. Efficient and friendly staff.
