Ideal for a one night stopover

Hotel is on the road into Saint Quentin town centre. We had a room on the front which was very noisy with cars and people coming back from the town square until well past 1am. If I stayed again I would definitely request a room at the rear. The room was fine for the price and the bed comfortable enough. It was fairly clean if a bit shabby. It was called a superior room but was fairly basic, although it did have tea/coffee making facilities which was really welcome. The breakfast wasn't bad value but was more than stated on the booking details, which was annoying but not the hotel's fault. They serve breakfast from 5am until 12pm at this hotel but there was no sausage or bacon left when we went down at 9.30am!! Nevertheless, they had a good range of pastries, fruit, cold meats, cheeses etc available and they would probably have cooked more if we had asked. The staff there are very helpful - our car battery was flat the morning that we were leaving and the girl on reception happily pulled her car round and used her jump leads to start our car. We were very grateful. It's an ideal stop over and is nicer and more personal than the chains of budget hotels in a similar price bracket.
