"Great hotel in good location"
Beautiful, quiet, friendly luxury hotel. Only downside is that the gym/pool is not allowed for children under 18. Hotel is in a walking distance to good spots in Akasaka, Roppongi, and Hanzomon.

Our hotel room faced the beautiful grounds of the Imperial Palace. The area was quiet, delicious soba noodle house just nearby, and subway station a 2 minute walk away. Really great experience!

"Tokyo Hotel"
Nice business type hotel in the Akasaka district of Tokyo. Short ~5 minute walk from a couple of metro stations, although uphill from both. Restaurants and the like in the area too. Small room but well designed. Even with 2 single beds, there was a nice work desk and space for small cases. Decent sized bathroom for Tokyo, with a nice modern shower. Good air conditioning. Good internet. Multiple plus for charging equipment. Only downside was the breakfast buffet - mainly pseudo-western and not very good - i.e chicken nuggets and french fries, etc.

"Great Location"
The hotel was very nice, and directly across the street for the Hanzomen station of the Tokyo subway - very convenient. The staff was great, and a few spoke English well enough to help us with our questions. The room was VERY small, but clean, and in keeping with room sizes in Japan. The only negative for us was breakfast in the morning was quite expensive - $21 per person for a few eggs and pastries! ouch!

"A very comfortable hotel in a convenient location"
The room and bathroom is spacious and wide, as compared to other hotels which has really tiny bathrooms. The view was amazing as well as we were given a room in a high level. Overall a very comfortable and satisfied stay.

The location was perfect. Easy access to Akasaka and Roppongi. The room was smaller than I thought and the bath was simpler and older than I thought, but it was understandable for the perfect location. The room we stayed had two floors. The stairs were very dangerous - so very narrow and high slope. I had a small boy and I could not go upstairs where the bed was placed. I wish the hotel could mention about the stairs so that I could look for a different place. If it's only the adults, could be manageable. I'd never seen such a narrow and sharp slope stairs.

"Excellent location with great views of the park."
Pleasant hotel close to Akasaka Mitsuke metro station (3 minutes walk), where at least 4 metro lines connect for easy travel around Tokyo. Numerous restaurants near the station, variety of cuisines. Triple room was not huge, but manageable for three of us. Definitely recommended..

"Great location. Could not be closer to the metro."
we stayed here for 4 nights (2 adults/2 children 4yrs/8yrs old) after the other reviews I was expecting a very tiny room but it was actually a decent size. Plus a 2nd much smaller room with a single bed.which was big enough for sleeping and storing a large case and backpack. We had a side window view to the street on the 6th floor and it was very quiet regardless of time of day or night. No traffic noise either. TV in both rooms but no international stations or at least no european ones but the kids were happy to watch Japanese cartoons plus we didn't travel all that way to wat h tv so no problem for us :) Plenty of supplies like tea/coffee/water in fridge. Toiletries ect. We were in the annex building So didn't have much interaction with the staff but when we did they were always very helpful and friendly. Plus on arrivel they gave my wife some beauty products and daughter a welcome bag with slippers and toiletaries. My son and I received the room keys :) Restaurants, supermarkets and metro all very close. Excellent for metro. I now wish we had booked this hotel for our final 4 days when we return to Tokyo later in the week but we already have a reservation elsewhere.

We arrived at the hotel with a warm greeting. Although it was very hard to communicate in English, everything was understood at the end. We had a room on the 10th floor and it was huge. You could fit at least two separate standard hotel rooms. The bed and linen was very clean and cleaned every day. The bed however was a bit too hard. The hotel is located about a 3 minute walk from Akasaka station on the Chiyoda lane. You pretty much have to transfer to any station you want to go to but I guarantee you the Chiyoda line is the least busy lane you will encounter. There's also free coffee for hotel users at the cafe! All in all a great hotel 10/10 The price has gotten more expensive after renovation. This name Hotel Avanshell Akasaka changed to a new name Innsomnia.

Pocket Guide: Akasaka, Tokyo Shopping Hotels

Posh hotels and a good selection of mid-range restaurants can be found in this area bordering Ginza’s northwest side. Sights in themselves, hotels include the New Otani complex, featuring a garden that was once owned by a Tokugawa regent, and ANA Hotel Tokyo, which has skyline views rivaling those of Tokyo Tower.
