Overall I enjoyed the stay.
The staff at night before their shift ended tended to get a bit lazy on their service. Making mistakes with my dinner. I specifically ordered food.. and request no meat or eggs.. no pork, beef or chicken. I also said vegetables and seafood are ok. The staff repeated it and everything was fine until they brought me my delicious looking order with one plate having chicken and beef on the plate. Ali most ruined my appetite. I gave them a chance to fix that one dish. Repeating the seafood and vegetables are ok but no other meats. The apologized , left, came back when my all my other dishes were almost finished and this time there was no beef but the chicken was still there .. they offered to take it back and apologized once again. Being that the Shangri la was a lovely place and all the staff had been great earlier in the day, we decided to have a little more patience and allow them to rectify the situation. But they took so long that we decided to totally cancel that meal. While all this was happening our night butler from the treehouse villa was trying to prepare our jacuzzi with fresh wam water when she reported that the hot water wasn't working and the would need to call in the engineer to fix this problem. By the time we finished our meal and we're ready to get cozy and take a shower.. the engineer realized the hot water problem was a bigger problem then they thought so it couldn't be fixed that night. must check before admitting customers
