Room not available till 2 hours after 8 pm arrival. floor flooded and water leak behind wall in bathroom. No heat and no offer for other room. Closet and dressing hangers missing. Next day after returning someone had been smoking in the room and it reeked. moved to another room with no tv or blankets on bed. No solution from manager. we paid double rates due to Eclipse and we offered no solutions and they never acknowledged smoking in our room while we were gone. no response yet from management 24 hours later.

The room was pre-paid but when we arrived at 10:30 pm the room wasn't ready because they were still cleaning them?! Didn't get in the room until 11:30pm. No toilet paper, uncomfortable bed, bad pillows and cheap, scratchy sheets.

We arrived around 930pm and the lobby was full of people waiting for their rooms. Housekeeping is cleaning rooms for people and their 3pm check ins. Apparently it’s been hours per the other people in the lobby.

I arrived at 8:30 for a 3:00 check-in, and I was told that it would be a 45-minute wait. Two hours later, I got a room. One bed was stained, the other had a dead bug in it. It took another 30 minutes to get a new room.

This hotel is a rat trap. The room was not made up. Nor were rooms around us. Check in was 3PM & we got to the hotel at 8PM. The smoke alarm was disconnected. No TV remote. No waste basket. No breakfast & we paid $ 150. Never again Red Roof Inn!

The room was clean for the most part except for one of the mirrors which was covered in some unknown fluid and there was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. I couldn’t afford a hotel in Cleveland as we were in town for the solar eclipse totality. The previous room tenants had disconnected the smoke detector and took the batteries.

On the way up to our room we noticed trash everywhere. Not to mention the shopping carts on the second floor where our room was. As we were about to get into our room, my son noticed that the room next to us had a broken window. It was at that point we felt unsafe. As we were leaving we noticed police officers in the parking lot adjacent to the hotel, with light on. We did not feel safe.

Red Roof Our child is having *surgery* at akron childrens tomorrow AND: I will be contacting the franchise to tell them how they are being represented. I could leave a review with negative stars, I certainly would!! Room 122. I booked a DELUX room with a crib. Holy cow!!!! If this room is a deluxe, I'm a millionaire. When we checked in, there were 3 bookings ahead of us demanding different rooms because of what they got vs. what they booked. The pictures on the website are a total bait and switch! The door has been kicked in, there isn't a garbage can. The sheets and comorters???!!!!! OMD they are stained and cigarette burned! How can that be though since it's a non smoking room?? It smells of amonia (cat) and cigarette smoke! There is brown sticky stuff on the fire sprinkler and bathroom light. There's mold in the tub and the roof, the walls have sort of been repaired where the holes are. There is dirt and a dead bug at the base of the dresser There's some pretty sketchy people in the rooms next to us who are living out of their car. I understand being down on your luck but it's not even dark yet and my skin is crawling from the filth and I just can't wait to see what drama comes about tonight. I will update review then.

Everytime we stay at this location it’s either really good or really bad. Unfortunately this time was bad. Booked a room with 1 king size bed, that room was horrible. Heat didn’t work, smelled awful, and was not clean. We were moved to another room with 2 beds (told the gentleman at the desk repeatedly I DID NOT want a room with 2 beds, he didn’t seem to care) was not completely clean, smelled horrible, television channels did not work….went to Walmart across the street for cleaning supplies and air freshener. Luckily we only needed to stay there until early morning. Make sure people are getting the correct rooms they have reserved. Also, I understand it’s a pet friendly establishment, but it shouldn’t be the next guests responsibility to clean and neutralize pet odors.

I couldn't sleep at all. Police was outside my door along with the ambulance. My room was next door to the Lobby so i heard people knocking, coming and going all night. Cars pulling up in front of my room all night it sucked.

The first room that I was given was occupied by 2 very upset naked people. The second room had an open door and the room is filled with someone else's belongings. The third room had a TV with a smashed screen. I was hoping to watch Monday Night Football. The manager gave me permission to swap it with the TV in another room. Upon taking a shower and drying off a long hair ended up in my mouth! I then took a good luck at that towel and it was filthy dirty, obviously used and put back!!! What a disaster, I am totally grossed out and want my money back!!!

The price booking was alright. Arrived and someone with the same name checked in and our reservation was cancelled and had to wait and have it fixed to only have the stay cost more. Walked into a smoke free room that smell as if it held a smoking party. The sheets and comforters were stained. Had to visit the Walmart next to us and bought bedding and stuff to remove the smell in the room. The bed was like laying on plywood could feel the springs coming up in it.Normally stay at Hilton’s and such first time in 25plus years in anything else and don’t see us staying in anything but Hiltons and upper level hotels. The cost of Walmart and our room we really didn’t save and money and had to keep spraying the room to keep the smell down. People outside talking and walking around all hours of the night being loud had a feeling of unease at times.

Maintenance Issues in Akron
The rust stains in the bathtub are disgusting. The gouge in the floor near the TV should be repaired. The "smoke alarm" was a pair of loose wires coming out of a hole in the wall. The heat wasn't working. The deadbolt sticks so that you have to fiddle with the handle to eb able to close the door.
