"Beautiful grounds, tons of wildlife"
Upon arrival, check in was smooth. Despite our early arrival, we were given our bracelets early to eat/drink. We headed straight for the beach and were slightly disappointed to find out how rocky it was to get into the water in most spots. However, if you could get over the rocky area (just bring aquasox), the surf was fun and the water was beautiful. The beach was FANTASTIC for hunting for shells. I found some really large, intact, amazing shells that just washed up right around my feet.
The food was OK. Lots of variety at the buffets. Italian restaurant was fantastic, Japanese restaurant and show was fabulous. BRING PANTS for men as this is a requirement of any a la carte restaurant.
The main pool was pretty busy, but there are a few smaller pools that were very quiet, still had a water fountain feature and a bar. There was even an adult pool. There was a good sized sports bar, which was very important as our NFL team had a big Sunday Night Football game while we were there.
The grounds were BEAUTIFUL. Very lush, and full of wildlife. There were little racoon-type animals everywhere, lots of iguanas/lizards, flamingos (captive), crocodiles (captive), birds, a few others, and we even saw a large monkey!
We did not have children with us, but I do have an 11 year old so I checked out the activities. Tons of activities to keep children busy of all ages. From sports, to Spanish lessons, cooking, movies, and putting on shows for the adults. Lots of fun!
