Didn’t stay here after seeing the room

Did not stay after seeing the room and pool. Tried to get refund but couldnt

Nice family owned hotel

Pros: Almost everything.
Cons: Rooms are small and somewhat dated.
Location: Close to San Jose airport. Unfortunately my husband was pick pocketed on the public bus from the airport pickup to downtown San Jose. Beware !!!
Excellent caring people run this hotel , close to airport, good breakfast, even paid for our taxi from airport as we arrived too late for the shuttle. Nice grounds, lots of birds.

Hotel staff intervened with the taxi company that brought me from the airport to recover the amount that I was overcharged by the driver. Very kind and helpful and very committed to ensuring that guests have a favourable impression of the country.

An airport hotel that is an oasis.

Pros: Garden setting. Room decor. Restaurant. Shuttle service. Travel breakfast( We left for airport before restaurant opened )
Cons: Bell service to/from room.
Location: Hotel is isolated. Only makes sense as an airport hotel.
Good airport hotel. Nice pool and garden, but too cool to use. Very accommodating in our need for an early departure.

Nice hotel for a night

I would stay here longer but we are heading to the beach. The beds are great. Really clean, incredibly kind staff. They helped me get dinner ordered for delivery amd then brought it to my room! Over and above!

Pros: Family owned and operated and very well run and they always welcome you as family
Location: Great location, close to great shopping and the airport!
Reasonable prices, quaint, friendly, only minutes away from airport yet quite great staff!!

Little oasis close to airport

Great place to stay, close to the airport and very clise to local grocery marts and restaurants. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. My only complaint was the WiFi strength inside the rooms. Which I hope they improve. Aside from that I couldn’t have been more comfortable.

We highly recommend Hotel Robledal. The people there were very friendly and helpful. They wanted to keep doing more for us to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Beautiful grounds and flora. Breakfast was great, service was even better.

The shower did not work both times we stayed there

Pros: It was quiet. Now we know why.
Cons: Fix showers, consider treating tourists with trust and respect.
Location: near airport
We stayed there upon arrival and the day before departure from Costa Rica. The shower did not work. Staff informed. Given same room when we returned - shower still did not work. The biggest disappointment, however, was when we checked out at 4:45 AM and took their shuttle to the airport. Our flight was cancelled, rescheduled for 5 hours later. The hotel would not let us check back in. Immanuel, who said it was a family run business and that he was one of the managers as well as our driver that morning (because so early) said that it was the rule. Also, the bedding had already been pulled (at 5 AM!!!). We only wanted to go back and relax until flight time. He stated that we would have to buy breakfast, pay for another ride to airport, etc. WHICH WE WOULD HAVE DONE ANYWAY. It was the way it was handled since we had had dinner there twice and overtipped both times. Tips are already included in restaurant bills in CR, but we added 20% anyway - more on the previous night's dinner. And for the ride - which was suppose to be free. VERY DISAPPOINTING AND RUDE. PS I HAVE never posted a negative review before.

Dear Elayne, Thank you for your feedback this is very important to us. I am sorry that you experienced issues with the shower, we will look after this and check the report. We are also sorry that your expectations to come back and retake your room could not be met. This may be possible sometimes, depending if the room is in process of being clean or not. By your perspective it seems unlikely that someone could be cleaning rooms at 5 a.m. but actually it was, part of our staff starts their shift at 5 a.m. they start preparing breakfast and others must clean public areas, take linens to the laundry room, etc. This was explained by Emmanuel who was coming back from San Jose after dropping off another guests. Our option was to take you back to the hotel and offer you our lobby couch to wait and then take you back to the airport for an extra fee to cover both extra transportation services. Our shuttle had already picked you up from the car rental company the night before and then took you back the airport a little earlier than usual as the first one is at 5 a.m. We always treat our guest with the most respect. It is our guests choice to give a tip to our staff when a service is done well. Regards, Josue Guzman Front Desk

Perfect hideaway in Costa Rica!

Perfect hotel stay! Shuttle picked my family up at the airport and was waiting with a sign. Room was comfortable and cleaned daily. Restaurant on site was excellent and had plenty of options. Pool was clean and refreahing. Staff was friendly and helpful.
