Nice people do not make up for a shabby facilityPosted Sep 30, 2015
Pros: Location is ok
Cons: This place needs decluttered & deep cleaned. There are no outside spaces for the guest to relax as the deck is a broken down mess.
Location: While it is not within walking distance unless you like a long hike, it is near the downtown community.
I cannot understand why this B&B received so many high reviews. This place is so run down & there is nothing nice about it. The rooms are tiny, the bedding is thread worn, our shower had mildew in it & the whole place reeks although they attempted to cover the smell with one of the strongest candles ever. You are met at the door by a shaggy dog who wants petting every time you meet it. If you have any allergies avoid this place! It is like staying with a doddering old Auntie.

Very kind hosts, quaint little in.Posted Sep 14, 2015
Pros: The hosts and the meals. Good location.
Cons: Building is a bit tired, and road out front can be noisy and dusty sometimes.
Location: Great location. Beautiful location of New Mexico. Lots of scenery, trails, attractions. Visited the Sunspot Solar Observatory. Quiet and nice.
Spent the Labor Day weekend here. Breakfasts were delicious and well prepared. Inn is quite quiet and quaint, but beginning to show need for serious updating and repair. Location is good relative to Cloudcroft, although gravel road out front was a bit noisy at times. Host and hostess were very friendly and kind. Rooms were clean and nice, but floors are quite wavy. I would recommend this inn to a friend because the price is fair, and the hospitality is great. If you want fancy, this is not the place. If you want relaxing and comfortable, it is.

Quiet GetawayPosted May 30, 2015
Pros: Atmosphere, setting, and comfort. The owners were very nice people too.
Cons: Perhaps a tad more room or another place to sit where one could put their feet up (besides the bed), but no big deal.
B & B's aren't for everyone, including my wife and I typically, but we thought we'd give this a shot. And we're glad we did. The owners were nice, polite, and glad to make conversation, but weren't too pushy at all in that regard. They happen to have their two grand children over at the time, but they were nice enough. The family dog was a nice and gentle as could be . . . felt like I was at my own grandparent's house! Room and bed was comfortable, if just a tad on the small side. Would have preferred a TV in the room (being the NBA playoffs and all), but the internet connection was quite fast so no worries there. House itself was within walking distance to plenty of dining options, and the setting was relaxing allowing us the opportunity to unwind after a long ride. Breakfast was really good too. Sensible, delicious portions . . . hit the road that morning satisfied but not so stuffed that I was falling asleep at the wheel (always a plus). Give this place a shot . . . Cloudcroft is a nice stop when traveling through NM, and the Crofting Inn will provide a good rest, tasty breakfast, and a relaxed spirit for the next step on your trip!

This is a nice, centrally located B&B.Posted May 27, 2015
We arrived and were greeted by the owners. A very nice couple with a sweet house dog. We were there during the art and craft festival which was a short walk. It was also very close the The Lodge which was a great place to eat and listen to music. We had a very nice stay in a clean quiet room.

10 room B&B. Home is over 100 years old. Kept up fairly well in western/americana style decorating. We had the only king bed room. Very comfy bed. Breakfast was toast, juice, eggs with cheese and a dry blueberry muffin. In a small town in the mountains. Beautiful surroundings.

Super schnuckeliges "Hotel" mit Familienanschluss. Man kommt sich vor wie in einer Puppenstube. Das muß man mal gesehen und erlebt haben! Vergessen Sie jede anonyme Hotelkette der Welt!
