A clean, basic room perfect for one or two nights. I liked the parking directly outside my door, and the restaurant next door was convenient.

Cheap Place
The man that runs the place wanted a $20 “Early Check In” fee, and he only waived it when I told him I’m not from Colorado. Very cheap. Also, the doors have a cold daft that gets through them. Be warned

Well I was robbed during my overnight stay so theres that. When i went to teturn my key there was no one at the front desk so i didnt even get to talk to anyone about it. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone you will not get a good nights sleep because you will worry about someone breaking into your car all night

Way overpriced. This ia a 1 star motel. Microwave should be thrown out. Bathroom reminds me of a bad gas station (not like the nice Valero ones). Missing security latch. Linens and pillows either dirty or too stained to keep using. I should have camped instead. Pay extra $20 for next motel up!!!

Sheets had yellow stains and had human and dog hair in them. There was also a couple with a small child fighting in the next room. Screaming and yelling. Definitely an unsafe situation.

I had a reservation and arrived and tried to change my booking to stay one night only. The staff was not able to change the booking as it was reserved on-line through Expedia. I tried to contact Expedia with the Virtual Customer Service to modify my reservation and got no response. The manager booked me for a one night stay in a similar room. The room was not clean and the bathroom light was not working and the bathroom sink drain was very slow. The ice machine was not in service. The experience was not good.

We arrived at midnight and according to Expedia, there was a 24h front desk. There’s not - it closes at 10pm. I called the desk and no one answered, then called Expedia, which reached an employee. It turned out desk staff had called me (but I was out of cell range and didn’t realize I had a message) and told me they would leave a key for me, so they had prepared our room and left the key and we were ecstatic to have this nice room (with a fridge). I had to hunt down staff the next morning for a receipt but they were very kind and accommodating. We loved our stay at this humble but clean motel.

Tried to contact this property prior to booking to ask about their pet policy, no one answered & no voicemail option. Booked anyway because it was a good price & close to Great Sand Dunes NP. Arrived a few minutes before check-in, no one was there and the lobby was locked. Waited til a few minutes after, called, and was informed someone would be there 'soon'. The guy did arrive like 3 minutes after that, but certainly not a great first impression. The hotel is just outside of the main part of the little city, so just a quick drive to things. Although the room kind of had all the decor similar to the pictures, in person it didnt seem to look anything like the room shown. Toilet was in a super weird alcove that felt like a closet. The room was a good size, it was acceptably clean (clean surfaces, clean bathroom, clean linens, decent towels, and most importantly no bed bugs) but it did have kinda dirty floors & the fridge was caked thickly in ice build up & was full of coffee grinds? As far as pet friendliness, there was a small fake grass patch out towards the front that worked for potty breaks. It was an unremarkable stay. If you're looking for a cheap, good enough, place to crash while you visit sand dunes? This was perfect.

When we got there we were suppose to have a two bed and had a one bed they made that right. The microwave was nasty and the mini fridge was nasty the breakfast door was looked so we couldnt eat our free breakfast. My grandpa is disabled and he had trouble getting in his bed it was to high up and the chair was to close to the bed and table he couldnt put his shoes and stuff on. But the staff was real friendly though and we decided not to stay the secong nite she gave my grandpa his money back but told us we had to wait for her to talk to her manager but we should be refunded within 3 business days

It was a comfy place for the night, and the AC worked!! The bedding was clean, and we had hot showers!! But, the faucet in the tub was loose from the wall, you had to use 2 hands to get the shower pull all the way up to turn the shower on, and in the morning there was no hot water for washing your face. The price wasnt too terrible, i guess, but plenty for the condition of the room. We are thankful we had a comfy place to sleep and that the AC worked!! And the staff were friendly.

A clean quiet place.
For a simple, dated hotel, I find the rooms were updated, clean and surprised the rooms were very quiet for being along the highway with trucks and occasional noisy cars.

Pleasantly surprised
I was worried after some previous reviews about what the Valley motel would be like, but after staying there I was impressed. It is a simple motel, but was very clean and comfortable. My family of 5 was able to stay in a big room, which was nice and affordable. It was also close to Adams State where I was taking classes, and not too far from Main Street. I would definitely stay there again.

First the positive - the person at the front desk was friendly and the room had a refrigerate and microwave. Next the bad ... It was not possible for the front desk worker to see my reservation in the computer, so we were lucky there were still vacant rooms. I was charged $125 even though my Travelocity reservation said it would be $113. The smoke detector and hair dryer had been removed. The description said there was guest laundry facilities on-site, but there was only a dryer.
