Wikipedia says a parador, is a kind of luxury hotel, usually located in a historic building such as a monastery or castle. This one isn't. It is an events led hotel, a Holiday Inn without the style, a corporate bunker for weddings and conferences. The design of the restaurant and bar dates from the 1960's planned by a man who went on to work for Ikea.
It is an OK place for a stopover. It is nothing special. It doesn't fulfil the above definition, not even a little bit.
Such hotels are imperfect places, sleep disturbed with banging doors from adjacent rooms and the screech of furniture being scraped across tiled floors. There was a 20cm hair left in our bathroom sink. Nothing out of the ordinary, as those who stay in these places all the time know only too well. Its just well it supposed to be a Parador.
