Improvement renovation

The hotel had done some renovation which I like. When completed I would check it out again to see the total renovation. Enjoyed the stay.

not as good as expected

The rooms/property was clean. It was older but upkept well. The staff was courtious. The room was small. The beds were uncomfortable and noisey, with a metal bed skirt. The breakfast was NOT a hot breakfast and was very limited. We stayed on a weekend which generally offers extended breakfast time, but not here. Breakfast was from 5:30-9:00.

We would like to thank you for your recent stay and apologize for any issues experienced during your stay. All rooms have new metal frames that are covered by our new bedding decor and skirtings. The breakfast is not a hot bar but be do however offer a deluxe continental breakfast that is complimentary for our valued guest daily. However, we do love you loved our cleanliness of our rooms and property along with our very courteous staff. Once again we apologize as we work hard to meet the needs of our guest.

Clean room, comfortable beds. We arrived late and left early. Breakfast was toast, fruit and cereal. No hot breakfast.

Staff was great! Rooms not so much...

Room had "wood" floors which I like-helps make the room less stuffy and cleaner but that's about the only plus. The furniture looked like it had been in a few bar fights. The toilet paper dispenser was hanging out of the wall. The beds felt like cots propped up on a metal box and the curtains didn't block out much light. I wouldn't stay here again. However the staff was very friendly and helpful.

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED

Pros: Professionalism of the Front Desk Staff upon my arrival.
Cons: Availability, professionalism of the staff and accuracy.
Location: There is an annual Gospel Concert that is held in Albany every February. Which is why we were there from North Carolina. Lots to do around.
This was my first time staying at the Baymont in Albany and I was highly dissatisfied. Hotel Staff at the Front Desk was very friendly and professional when I first arrived. But when we got to our room, we were not satisfied with the location, because it was directly next to the hotel's laundry room where staff was standing outside of conversating. The door was left open and there was a horrible smell in it, we still stayed as we were there for a major concert which was starting soon. We returned back to our room 11:00pm that night and the entire night, we could hear conversations outside the door. It almost was like they were inside the room because they were so loud. Needless to say, we got no sleep and this loud noise continued into the early morning hours. When I turned in my key the next morning, I did let the front desk staff know that I was dissatisfied and she gave me a discount on my room. That sounded reasonable and nice of the hotel to give the discount to me, but then once I returned to home, I noticed that my credit card had (4) different charges on it, from my one night of stay. This is being disputed as I type this comment.

While it was a pleasure to have you stay with us we are very sorry that your stay was less than pleasant and didn't meet your standards. We have someone staffed 24 hours for your needs. We are sorry that guests disrupted your sleep after 11:00pm. I am glad that you did however enjoy our professional front desk staff and was satisfied with the compensation to rectify the situation noted during checking out. As spoken with you the customer care case has been made on your behalf for the system error. We are hope that you will still consider us for your place of lodging next year. Was amused about the cleanliness of the room I was worried before I got here but once here I was very pleased and thankful for the effort they put into making my stay worth returning.
