Loved the photos of local architecture throughout the hotel. It made for a fun “scavenger hunt” while walking through downtown Troy. Nice breakfast buffet with a pleasant dining room. Access to laundry and microwave was a plus.

First and foremost was the outstanding staff--all of them. They were friendly, competent and especially excellent at customer service. I specifically cite Matt, the front desk staff who checked me in the night of April 4, and Jennifer who ran the breakfast rooms. Matt went out of his way to solve an important room comfort problem and Jennifer was friendly and enthusiastic. The facility physically was in excellent condition, very clean and contemporary. This is among the best hotel experiences I've ever had.

Getaway stay
Upon my arrival I was welcomed by Randy who definitely knows how to welcome his guest. He always asks is everything ok? Do you need anything? He went above and beyond to make sure my stay was pleasant. Now let’s address the I don’t talk to or even look at you staff. They know who they are, having a presence like that made me question how did they get into hospitality sector.

Clean and close to downtown Troy.
Everything was clean and in nice shape. The breakfast, gathering area was clean and large enough where there was no lack of tables when I had breakfast. There is a small store near the main desk, as well as some bending machines on the floor. It was also very close to the place I needed to be. This is yet another Best Western where you get a great bang for buck.

Bad bed
The bed was so uncomfortable and hard I really didn’t sleep. Even the pillows were bad (small and lumpy). I have hip and back problems and this actually made those things hurt more. Also no hairdryer???

I have stayed here a few times as my son is in RPI. This is very near everything, the place is very clean and the staff very nice. You can walk to the town, it's about 5 minutes. There are restaurants near to eat. The only one thing was the coffee, I couldn't get a strong enough, even though they have a lovely coffee dispenser in the breakfast room, all the coffee tasted the same, even the espresso. Otherwise a great stay!

I actually came around 10 pm at night they was very welcoming and understanding about my bus being late. Every time i went down stairs the staff was really friendly. Overall I have no complaints my experience was good.

We stayed for 5 nights.My daughter and her family spent 2. For all that money we spent, I felt like it wasnt worth it.No extra "hey good morning again, how can I make your day type of thing. The worst though was that the dining was so incredibly limited. and not really any suggestions
