Malfunctioning Heating/AC Unit

I checked into room 126. This room hasn't been renovated . The heating unit blower fan was making an annoying sound. The shower had pubic hair in it. I did go to the front desk and asked for a different room. They did move me to room 300 which was renovated and had a brand new heating unit and a clean bathroom.

Really comfortable and friendly stopover

From our late-night check-in to breakfast before hitting the road, everyone here was friendly and helpful. The room was big, clean, and well-appointed. Everything was new-looking, halls were cheerful and bright, breakfast was huge and varied, and the bed was very comfy with lots of pillows. I'd stop here again in a heartbeat. Plus it was very convenient to I90.

Pros: Clean room and very comfortable bed. Room Quiet and dark at night. Good sleep. Desk promptly resolved problem when Expedia booked my siffix as last name and full name as first name.
Cons: Lobby and general facilities under renovation so there was some minor inconvenienche
Location: Very convenient to destination we were visiting

Temporary Problems

Pros: It was convenient.
Cons: Attention to detail (like turning on the light an arriving guests needs to see where to go!)
Location: Lots of convenience nearby, shopping mall, coffee shops, gas, an interstate.
Hotel undergoing major repairs at entrance, but there was not indication of where the temporary new entrance was located. We finally just found a door, went in & told this to the person manning the desk. He discovered that the light on the directional sign had not been turned on. So...not a good start. The room was okay, but we had to find breakfast elsewhere since breakfast didn't start until 7 on weekend, and we required an early start. Both of these things muddied the appeal of this location for us.

Nice hotel close to shops

We stayed here for one night to visit our daughter at RPI. We had a very comfortable stay at the Fairfield Inn. Room was spacious and clean, beds were comfortable. Check in and check out were quick, staff were helpful. We will stay here again.

very nice hotel in a quiet part of town.

The best part about the hotel was its staff, the front desk staff were super nice, courteous and attentive, especially holly. I spent a weekend there with my wife and two children and she took great care of my children, recommending activities such as the museum and ice skating ring, she even spoke to management and allowed us to stay a bit extra after check out so I was able to get everything done before I left. the kitchen staff were excellent, my two girls had peanut allergy and the older gentlemen took great care in making sure their food had not been cross contaminated. please keep up the great work and I plan to stay there the next time that I am in Albany.
