The staff looked like they would rather be anywhere but there. When we arrived at about 6:30 in the evening, the cleaning staff was still cleaning rooms. (Ours was ready; it could be they were short staffed). Breakfast was limited. The front desk person in the morning was more engaged in conversation with a guest who just kept gabbing on and on that the front desk person did not notice we were trying to check out. Anyone else would have cut off the gabbing person and tended to the guest trying to check out. I cut in front of the guest and said we were checking out and left.

Best Hampton Inn in Albany
In past 24 months, I have needed accommodations frequently in the Albany area and have often stayed at Hilton properties. This Hampton Inn exemplified what a Hilton property should be. It has the most courteous and helpful staff, the cleanest rooms, soap and shower gel dispensers that aren’t empty (Hilton Garden Inn) and even a third towel! The pool was open.Breakfast was even great! All this for around $100. If you plan to stay at a Hampton in the Albany area, skip the Wolf Road location, AVOID the Airport location and stay here. You won’t be disappointed.

Our power went out from ongoing extreme storms so we booked a room here. Other hotels in the area lost power so I called this one to be sure they had power/expected to have power all night and the receptionist laughed at me as if this was an insane question. I booked a room anyway because we didn’t have a lot of options and the room was gross. It smelled nasty as soon as we walked in and the bed was damp/wet, the “queen sofa pullout” was barely a twin size AND there was bugs! Definitely do NOT recommend.

This hotel served its purpose for our family on our road trip through NY State. It is just off the highway, clean and check in was quick. There is very limited dining and not much else around the hotel. There is a Denny’s & Cracker Barrel in walking distance, everything else is a short drive away.

Convenient location, but a horrid mouldy bathroom
Check in was smooth and straightforward. Disappointed that only 2 large towels were provided (as the previous night's Marriott provided 4). The most annoying issue was that the wall-mounted shower gel / body wash bottle was completely empty, and the conditioner bottle ran out after one use. These need to be checked before any guest occupies rooms (Ours was 320). There was also mould on the ceiling as there was no extractor fan in the bathroom. Strangely, a sign at reception stated that the outdoor pool was closed for the season - in August??? The hotel is very convenient for Albany, and has a Cracker Barrel restaurant, and a Denny's restaurant on either side.

We had great rooms at fair prices and the hotel was very conveniently located for us. Staff was present and constantly cleaning. Breakfast was great and they accommodated us to be able to grab a couple items early, before its opening time. The little things like that leave a great impression.
