Pros: clean, nicely decorated, good choices for free breakfast
Location: dee dee's tavern was great!
great hotel for the price, no complaints other than we got a non smoking room and when we returned to our room at night it reeked of smoke. not sure if someone was smoking in a nonsmoking room near us or the walls are thin or what. if you get headaches easily i wouldn't recommend staying here for that reason.

disappointedPosted May 26, 2015 on Hotels
I wasn't expecting much, room size doesn't bother me and it was just overnight. Some stuff broken but nothing major. However the person next door to me in room 140 left their tv on blaring until after midnight and then I heard a cat meowing. I went to the desk to report it and in fairness she did knock on the door. But no-one answered because no-one was there, they left the TV blaring to drown out the cat!. She had to enter the room to turn the tv down. Cats are not allowed in the hotel and I was a bit bothered with the staff's comment that "now they'll have to pay us extra for the cat". Really not the point. However, as of 7am, these people still hadn't returned!!. I will be complaining directly to hotel management about this because frankly these people need to be reported for this. How do you leave a cat alone in a hotel room like that?. And how did they get into the place with it? By the way, previous complaints about finding the place are correct. You can see the hotel from 87, but once you turn off it's very awkward to get to. The road is next to the Mobil station everyone and then you turn left to get in. Free Wifi, yes it was. Problem is, it never worked. Not even close. Note to staff, does the TV in the lobby have to be that loud at 12.30am?. No-one is watching it.

Good enough with good price outside UAlbanyPosted May 24, 2015
Clean and quiet on 2nd floor, ok size with 2 queen beds. I had good night sleep. Breakfast kitchen was small but quality is good with diligent refill with big orange and apple, and waffle machine.

Do Not Stay HerePosted May 18, 2015 on Hotels
I would not recommend that anyone stay at this hotel. It is loud, and dirty. The staff were very nice, but the clientele are problematic. A group of men were standing outside the hotel drinking alcohol. I think some of them live at the hotel sadly. There was a little weber grill in the parking lot that was used by some of these men to cook outside the grill. My wife did not feel safe staying here due to the clientele. We heard couples fighting. It was not a pleasant night. I feel bad writing this because the staff were very nice. But, I do not recommend anyone stay here.

Would stay againPosted May 12, 2015 on Hotels
The hotel was very clean and the staff was very nice. The walls were paper thin though, and we could hear the room next to us. The free breakfast was very lacking, it appeared they didn't replentish anything as they were out of almost everything when we went to eat, and it was well over an hour before the breakfast time ended. The hotel is close to numerous restaurants and stores and a block from the Northway. All in all, I would stay again. My daughter was upset there was no pool, but we knew this going in.
