nice hotel but old furniture and low level supplie

Posted Nov 20, 2016
Pros: staff were friendly
Cons: furniture, supplies, renovation
Location: downtown location there are shops and easy access to major thruway
The hotel is old although it has the name of Ramada and on some stuff it carries the name of Wyndham but it is not at the level of my previous experience with these brand name hotels. It is rated at 3 stars and definitely it is not at this star level.

Disapointed stay

Posted Nov 19, 2016
The first night of our two night stay was incredibly noisy due to the hotel hosting a contingent of middle school football teams apparently there for a competition event. There were kids running and yelling in the halls util 3 am. The staff which was aware of this was probably overwhelmed since they said that the attempted to control the guest several time during the night. The second night noise issue was better due to the apparent check out of the football group. The heat in the room did not work on the first night. It took a couple of times to report this to the staff before it was fixed. Some thing which was not under the control of the hotel was the loud traffic noise from the adjoining highway.

Not impressed

Posted Nov 14, 2016
Pros: Easy check in. Good breakfast. Close to University of Albany.
Cons: First room we were given was not clean. Floor wasn't vacuumed and our son watched a large bug run across floor from one bed to other. Second room was cleaner, but could still have used additional cleaning along wall line.
Location: Close to University of Albany. Only 8 minutes away.

Does not necessarily live up to its name

Posted Nov 14, 2016
We booked a 3 night stay, with certain expectations. The first night was great. Saturday morning, breakfast is over at 10 and they were out of food by 8:30am. Then, one of the staff got mad because he emptied a trash can and kids threw garbage in it. He said "You can see theres no bag in it, What are you all stupid?" Sat night, we wanted to order dinner. Were told freezers went out on Thursday (the day we checked in) and all they had were hamburgers or chicken. We were never told about the freezers when we checked in. Sunday, same thing, food gone 90 minutes before breakfast was over. We checked out Sunday, but this stay was not up to the standards I expect from Ramada. It will takt a lot for me to stay there again.
