The place is a dump and they run a scam on you. First, I received an email from Expedia stating that they would not have enough staff to make the beds and you’d have to make your own bed or you could cancel your reservation. I called to cancel and the manager assured me that there were plenty of staff. Well, their solution must have been to not change the sheets. In my bed, there was hair and food crumbs from the last occupant. Under the fitted sheet, there was a blood stain on the mattress. Someone had wrapped plastic over the smoke alarm. There was hair in the shower. There was a slimy substance in the table and bedside tables. Rather than deal switching rooms or finding another hotel at such a late hour, I decided to grab my sleeping bag and sleep on the floor. The following morning, I checked out and headed down the road. An hour later, my credit card alerts me to a $250.00 charge. Wondering what is going on, I call the hotel and ask what is going on. They tell me that they charged me for smashing the television. I let them know that the TV was fine when I left. They told me that the cleaning person went in, saw the TV was smashed, and went and got the manager. Then the manager says the damage is only visible when the screen is on. Now, I can’t prove anything since I didn’t video myself when I left, but the TV was definitely working when I left. I’m sure they run this scam on tourists knowing that they’re not going to turn around in their road trip and come an hour back.
