Lovely quaint hotel

Posted Feb 13, 2018
Pros: The lovely staff and the history.
Cons: The wifi must be stronger (on the top floor anyway) as trying to listen to Radio Caroline was sometimes problematic when the internet signal cut out.
Location: Great location (if you taxi in). Near to restaurants and the city centre.
This is a very quaint and beautiful old hotel. They gave us a very nice, top floor, room that caught the sun until late in the day (for Feb) and we just had a view of the wall to the river looking down the alleyway. A nice touch was the bottle of red wine, on arrival, and an even nicer touch was the bottle of champagne, the next day, because the lovely lady on reception had noticed it was my birthday that very day (fm my passport when they check you in) and my partner's the next week. The breakfast was good and the coffee/cake, for yr return in later afternoon, was another considerate touch. The wifi could have been a tad stronger as it went down a few times while trying to listen to Radio Caroline, on the internet, in our room while getting ready to go out. I would recommend this hotel and go back again.

out dated and not clean

Posted Jan 1, 2018
Pros: Websearch.
Cons: update bathroom to be modern and comfortable. For family room, try to arrange into two separate rooms instead of a single room with 4 twin beds.
Extremely disappointed with hotel condition. My room is a family room downstairs with 4 twin beds all in one room. What's worse, the attached bathroom looks really outdated and not clean. Luckily I only stayed one night. Definitely not going back or recommending to anyone.

Dear guest, First of all, we would like to thank you for taking your time reviewing our Hotel after your recent stay. I´m really sorry to know that the room didn´t meet your expectations. You booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 children, and in the website It´s clearly specified that you´ll have 4 beds in the same room. Referring to the cleaning service , all the rooms are perfectly cleaned by our house maid service and seriously inspected by the housekeeper governess. Be sure that one of our highest reviews among our customer is the cleanliness. You should have informed reception desk about all defects that you supposedly detected. Being a XVI Century building, the original construction is conserved and the furniture is maintained. It will be a pleasure for us to invite you in our Hotel in your next visit to Granada to check that nothing of the mentioned anomaly happens . Best regards,

Cleverly located hotel just off busy Plaza Nueva.

Posted Oct 28, 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: Location and charming layout.
Cons: Safes in the room
Location: The Arab neighborhood and Sacromonte are up the hill. The Cathedral is a short walk away. The Alhambra Palace looms above the area. Great eats, etc.
At the base of the wonderful Albaicín hill, opposite the Alhambra Palace, this hotel is convenient and comfortable, with an excellent ₡ 10 breakfast buffet. The main challenge, as is the case with any hotel in this neighborhood, is access. We had a rental car and followed the approach directions to the letter, which includes the suggestion to park about 1/4 mile away. The room was fairly nice, although lacking a safe, for those who worry about these things. I generally don't.

Loved it!

This hotel is beautiful, clean, and ideally located. I loved the character, style, and décor of the rooms, as well as all of the little courtyards and sitting areas. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast has lots of options and is convenient. The room was very clean and a perfect Granada Albaicin hotel. It is located right near Plaza Nueva, easy walk to everything. Stay here.

Nice hotel close to the Alhambra

Posted Sep 28, 2017 on Hotels
This hotel was in a great location. We liked that it was within walking distance of the Alhambra, which is the main reason we came to Granada. We also liked the front desk staff, all of whom spoke English and were very helpful. Overall, it was a good place to stay.

Great room with rooftop terrace and view of the Alhambra. Pleasant surprise! Bed was uncomfortable but found that common everywhere we traveled. Location is great!
