Arrived earlier than expected after a very long overnight drive and inquired about a possible early check in. At first they were unsure if they could accommodate. I said “no problem, I understood”, took my phone number and said they would call as soon as they had a room available. We left to get food and before reaching our restaurant I received a call saying they had a room cleaned and ready for us. Room was very clean and comfortable, the establishment quiet and there were no foul odors. Housekeeping was AWESOME. We left after the first nights stay in a hurry to get to an event, we left the room in a disarray while trying to get ready. Housekeeping came in and straightened everything without “messing” with our stuff too much, just neatly moved it to make the beds and clean the surfaces. 10 stars for housekeeping! Breakfast was fine, waffles, cereal, fruit, bacon, eggs and other odds and ends, there was a gentleman there the whole time that kept EVERY table and station clean even after my granddaughter threw her eggs on the floor under her high chair. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We will be visiting Elizabeth City a lot more now that my family has moved there. The Comfort Inn will be our new spot. Very close to family and priced right for a very comfortable stay.

The elevator was broken. Originally we were on the 4th floor but they moved us to the 3rd floor. My family member had an outpatient surgical procedure in the area. Having to take the steps after the procedure was a nuisance. The hotel should let potential guests know the elevator is out of service before we book the property. I liked everything thing else about the hotel.

The overall stay was acceptable. My only main concern was that due to elevator being down, they should have accommodated the guests somehow. Full room rates were paid and they could have given discount. We had a room on the fourth floor and that was definite negative when taking luggage and things upstairs.

The parking lot was crowded, with limited options. The elevator was not working, and the stairway to the third floor was dirty with dried mud. The eggs and sausage for breakfast were good, and the coffee was hot.

Room was comfortable and clean. Hotel looks to have been renovated as I noticed the fire sprinkler in the bathroom was very rusted. Bed frame squeaked as soon as you sat on the bed, but mattress was comfortable. Visit this area often and feel all the hotels are overpriced.

All the staff are awesome! They treat you like family and close friends! Its safe there! Very clean, neat, tidy, and plenty of whatever you need! The beds sleep awesomely! The refrigerators, microwaves, and so on are in excellent shape and great working order and quality! I haven’t tried the breakfast yet but im sure that’s awesome also! The standards are excellent! And the price is reasonable! Just awesome!!!

I would like a refund to be honest , I couldn't figure out how to reach you guys right away and I'm away dealing with a funeral with is why I used your service buy my wife and I are completely disgusted with this comfort inn in which we booked. From. Being transfered to 2 different rooms the having to settle for a room not cleaned, blood on pillows, and bed completely broken to where my wife and I roll to meet in the middle as if it is about to split in half

A Hot Breakfast was advertised on the Comfort Inn, and several other, websites but all that was available was coffee, juice, a muffin, and apple. One of the front desk people said that a hot breakfast "WAS NOT ADVERTISED ON THE INTERNET", but it was advertised. The other front desk people were friendly. The room was fairly clean except the curtains had brown something on them and all halls needed cleaning. I had to be moved twice since the sink did not drain in one room and the heat did not work in another room.

Despite the fact it was undergoing renovation they staff kept the areas fairly clean staff was always friendly and welcoming (always a plus) In fact they were so nice I treated them to local southern made donuts

I had a great stay!
The Comfort Inn Elizabeth City, near University is a great place to stay! You're local to the town as well as easy access if you're heading to VA Beach or the OB.

There were very few good options for hotels in this area but this one has an 8 out of 10 rating which wasn’t quite what we feel. Our room has alot if ants, so we asked to move rooms, they moved us next door but there were other issues. The shower was literally a few sprinkles and after they “fixed” it there still was barely no water coming out. also the TV kept cutting off on its own and it seemed as if someone reties remite was controlling it…although we turned the tv off before going to sleep, it woke us up with a loud “amber alert” at around 3:30am. We barely got sleep for the 2 nights that we were there.

Unfortunately, this property was a major disappointment considering the amount paid for the night. There was an infestation of ants (among other insects), pipes inoperable in rooms, a faulty shower knob, and and leaking A/C unit. I’m glad this was only a one night stay - otherwise this would have been unbearable. The hotel was great with working with us to solve our issues. However, overall, the property was not indicative of the price paid.

Craphole.
At $162.00 a night this hotel is terrible. Not at all clean. Homeless people sleeping in the parking lot. Carpets were disgusting. Staff would not do anything about noisy guests partying til 3AM. Complimentary breakfast was not good at all.
