Although ultimately accommodating, our assigned rooms’ AC was not working to which a fascilities handyman was summoned that evening around 8 O’clock which was impressive! We were told in short order that it was an electronic issue and they would send someone the next day. However, along with a non functional house phone, 1/2 toilet flusher and broken door handle it still took me 5 visits to the front desk to get them the agree to give us the next door room (mirrored layout) and that couldn’t happen until the next day as they wait until the next morning to clean their rooms. The banquet style food was just that. Banquet food. Poolside was visually stunning unfortunately the water was decidedly cold unless the sun was out and the temp was at least 80 C. Bummer.

Great vacation
This resort was absolutely beautiful! A five minute drive from the beach!!! Only problem we had was our AC but they tried to fix it. Was really nice.. Pool Activites and all! Would go back again

OK room (yes, it was just OK, nothing special about it, but not bad either) with an OK bed and a decently working AC. Decor seems out dated but this doesn’t bother me as long as comfort does the job - and it did. Cleaning was quite good. Wi-fi is very lousy and even the TV channels are scrambled due to the poor reception. Breakfast is decent, lunch is actually quite good, dinner (à la carte restaurant) is rather limited. You’d expect a more complete wine list being in Italy but they have missed this opportunity. When we arrived I was not greeted as an Expedia Gold member and while we were packed with plenty of suitcases and backpacks no one ever bothered to offer us a trolley to bring our stuff to the room - and it’s not a short walk. The lukewarm experience during check-in was definitely a buzzkill. Great set of swimming pools though, which my son really loved. It was not a bad stay in the end, but being on holidays evokes a certain need to be well received, it’s all in the little things.

Amazing food and service, great for families
Wonderful food service, superb comfort and amazing food. We stayed as a family of 4 adults and a baby in two rooms, they located them next to each other. Perfect for a toddler with the playground and children's pool, our kid had a great time. Food was excellent, we had dinners and breakfasts included, great selection for everyone, all you can eat. Rooms were condtioned, large and comfortable, bathrooms clean, daily room service was keeping everything clean and tidy. Staff was very professional. The only criticism I have is that the cleaner removed a bag with important medication of one family member from the desk (it certainly did not look like garbage). We raised it with the reception twice, they said they'll check and come back to us but never did. It was quite a problem as we had to get another emergency prescribtion from the GP in the evening and go back to town into 24/7 pharmacy to obtain new medicine. We were a bit dissapointed as they never apologized or followed through to check if we are ok or need assistance. Apart from this, I would certainly recommend the stay to everyone who travels with kids and does not want to bother with cooking or any house chores. Perfect for overworked parents.

Good for families
Great place for families and easy with smaller kids and this was our 3rd stay. A small disappointment this year is that it was mandatory to wear swim caps in the pool. Breakfast selection also seemed smaller than previous years, although we appreciated the Covid measures taken. The dinner service seem to be at reduced hours and didn’t open until 7:30pm which is a bit late for younger kids. Service is great and staff is very friendly. Could benefit from some refurbishment as rooms are starting to get tired and dated.

A decent hotel/apartment complex with plenty to do on site. They are based a fair distance out of town but do put a complimentary bus service on half hourly during the day. One thing to be aware of is to look for the daily activities which are posted in reception...otherwise you will be unaware of them.

Nice hotel, good value
Comfortable hotel with nice room and pool. Located away from town centre but ok if you have a car. Self catering also means self clean and changing bed linen and towels. Everything you need but without little luxuries.

Fabulous gem of s family hotel
We booked this mainly for the pools and evening / day entertainment. It was difficult to find a hotel like this in Italy so we were delighted to come across Loano 2 village. Why we loved it: 1. The pools are fab, right from baby pool to deep.adult length swimming pool. Also friendly helpful lifeguards. Can even use inflatables in the pool and they will blow them up for you!!! 2. No rushing for subbed every morning like some places we have visited, you are allocated 2 for your whole stay! Just brilliant! 3. Animation team are fab! Something for everyone (mostly in Italian .. but we were fine with this as daughters experienced real Italy rather than typical English speaking kids club scenario. The shows in evening were reasonably professional!.. quite late (9.45pm for kids disco!! Due to siestas in the day) then a show after each night. 4. Rooms were spotless!!!!! Cleaned everyday and beds made everyday which we didn’t expect.. wonderful staff!!! Chose hotel as there was a separate bedroom with sliding doors from large comfortable sofa bed lounge. Also had s fridge do could buy local drinks and have on balcony if you wanted to come away from bar area. 5. Food.... lucked out here! We went for half board as it wasn’t much more expensive... expected to probably go to Loano as well but no need! The gala meal buffet was incredible, and the other evenings had variety. No chips and chicken nugget style food for kids to gorge on thank goodness 6. Pizza restaurant is fab!!!

Family friendly holiday destination
We enjoyed the hotels facilities, particularly the pool, and tennis courts. This hotel is more institutional than customer focused so it never felt warm and genuinely friendly. Wasn’t overly busy last week when we were there, but couldn’t see it working for us if it was crowded.

There was a little mix up with our room and myself and my fiance received two single beds that could not be put together. I will accept partial responsibility for this but the beds also were some of the shortest I have ever slept in. I am not that tall 178cm/ 5'10 but they were very tiny. The only other qualm was the fact that the pool and jacuzzi were not heated. I get it a huge outdoor pool in a meditteranian beach town doesnt really need heat but it was as cold as the ocean. The jacuzzi on the other hand should be at least warm if not hot in the 35-40/90-100 range instead it was just in the low 20s/70s. Very clean hotel with a great staff though, maybe the pool heater was just broken. Would stay again

The hotel was absolutely packed, we could hardly see the pool for sun loungers. The staff at the pool bar were rude and unhelpful. The breakfast buffet was like being in a cattle market and the food was average.

Family friendly and great staff. Our room was a bit outdated, but very clean. Great pool area with two kids pools and some splashing pools for babies. Very much liked the allocated sun beds, no need to rush in the morning to secure a spot. The resort is about 15 min walk from town and not many restaurants nearby.

Quite comfortable room and really great pool including one for the very young children, one of 1m depth, one of 1.5m and one olympic type as well as one indoor pool. There was also a jacuzzi. Rather good breakfast and good value for money at the restaurant -pizzeria. We didn't appreciate that the transats by the pool we let at our venue for the whole period had been given to one other family before our checking out Also we had to pay for using the pool towels. The receptionist told us at our arrival that we should use only a spécial card available only in Loano village for any payment within the village. But in fact at every payment we were told by the employées that also cash or crédit card was accepted. We found that rather weird!

This hotel was the worst experience ever. The room isolation was terriable. You could here people talk in the other room. You could here people walk on the upper floor. We (my wife, daughter of age 1, and i) couldn't sleep until 4 am. Swimming pool was also very dirty. Reception said that there will be daily cleaning of the room...nobody cleaned anything.

This is a good hotel for families and older people. What I like: - The room was comfortable for a couple with one kid - Everything was clean - Very quiet - Easy to park the car in the parking lot in front of the hotel - Loano is good for kids and has plenty of options for eating What I did not like - The shower stall is ridiculously small, it's unpleasant to take a shower; I am 1.72m, I imagine it would have been a nightmare for someone taller than me - Check in (5pm) and check out (10 am) time are really bad - It's not close to the beach. It's a long walk or you have to spend 1.80 euros per hour in a parking lot close to the beach - The breakfast has many options but none are exceptional; scrambled egg overcooked - You have to go to the reception to get towels to use on the swimming pool; when I brought them back I was charged 3 euros per towel for cleaning fees. It's probably more than the price of the towel itself Overall it's not a bad hotel for the price. But it will not be my first option when I come back to the Italian Riviera

Room was perfect for the 3 of us and it also had a good travel cot for our baby. It had everything we needed and if we required anything the staff were more than helpful to provide it. Staff at the bar were excellent.

1 bedroom apartment located on building F, facing south, with partial sea view. A.C. Working perfectly in both rooms, large balcony, fully equipped kitchen. Sliding doors were a bit clunky, mattress quite comfortable, although noisy. Great breakfast, both savory and sweet dishes, lots of pastry (locally made), large quantity and selection...did not like the staff cleaning up and setting tables all around us (for lunch)while we were still seated and eating. The outdoors and all common areas were very clean, pool water temperature quite low, too cold. Parking is 10 euro per day, or you must use the public parking nearby. Shuttle to the main shopping area, and beaches is convenient but they should be more clear about the various stops. Overall a very pleasant stay, will come back.

pleasant hotel with facilities for families.
I came with my daughter and two grandchildren and we all enjoyed staying here. The weather was very hot so we spent most of our time in the pools. The provision of allocated sunbeds meant we could always be sure of a place near the pools. The areas were kept clean and tidy. We used the other play areas when we could in the evenings. The bars and breakfast room were well run and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We used the shuttle bus into Loana. and this worked well and meant we could have a change of scene without too much effort. Because it was so hot we did not want to do any sight-seeing so that going to Loana allowed us to have at least a taste of an Italian town. The hotel and resort has a particularly pleasant atmosphere, not least because the staff were all good at their jobs. We were particularly grateful to Elisa in Reception who helped me buy our train tickets to Genova airport and found us a train without changes. Thank you again Elisa.

Surprise in Loano
Loano 2 village is huge and we were very surprised to find such a large establishment in such a small town as Loano, but it is well run, clean and very adequate for a quick two night visit to this charming little town. The village is a little way out of the main town but runs a shuttle bus back and forth in peak times which was very convenient.

Stayed for a few days after a cruise from nearby Genoa. Loano2 village was excellent, our girls loved the pools whilst we just enjoyed the sunshine..! Not many English here, but we quite liked that..! Would stay again.

Didn't know you have to strip you're own beds and change towels once a week and Take to the laundry . Unless you pay extra. But no big deal. Rooms were good size and clean . Food in Pizzeria good, didn't eat in main restaurant . Beach bar disappointing salads , so surprised, this is Italy come on . Really poor salads on offer at lunch . Plus the pay card system a real pain as NO cash taken . Igor the head barman a real character, I would call a good friend. Pool bed system good , no towels on bed at crack of dawn headache. All in all good hotel. Animation team became like family to our boys , sincere , talented bunch of young men and women .

Beautiful, well kept grounds and helpful staff. Our 7 year old loved all the different pools. We all appreciated the free shuttle into Loano town centre which is a lovely town. Great first Italian experience for our child. Hope more families from the UK get to hear about this hotel ( but not too many ) a fabulous place to stay on the beautiful Italian Riviera. Tuti Bene.

Lovely (but expensive) holiday village
We had a 4 day stay at Loano 2 village. Husband and me stayed in a studio with our little girl. Studio is quite small but very clean and there are 3 seperate beds, which is not that great but for 4 days its OK. They are quite comfortable. There is a little kitchenette where you can cook. The pool area is fantastic. Beautiful pools in all sizes and for all ages, swimmers and non swimmers. The life guard allocates you 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella which are yours to use for the days you stay which makes it very easy, no towels on sunbeds at 6 in the morning. There is entertainment but all in Italian which we loved, we are in Italy so no need for all British entertainers. They do speak English so if you have a question you get it answered. The shows in the evening were lovely and they were sort of in an underground theater, so you did not hear any noise in your studio. Reception staff is very friendly and helpfull. The grounds are nice and very clean. We did not go to the beach as it's all private and we loved the pool area. We did go in Loano for dinner in the evening and it's a lovely town. Parking is hell, but that's in all villages on the coast. Parking in Loano 2 village is easy, opposite the complex there is public parking or there is underground parking for 10 Euro's a night. It was a lovely short break in August.

We chose this hotel as we had driven to Italy and needed secure parking. We we arrived I had to admit we were horrified but this complex actually grew on us quite quickly. I was reassured when we walked into reception as they staff were very welcoming .The room was comfortable and had a small kitchen area and the whole complex was clean and well maintained, including the lovely pool areas. They had a free coach into Leona than ran every hour until 7pm, which gave us great access to the train station and all the resorts along the coast and the fabulous city of Genoa. We didn't eat at the hotel (mainly because we couldn't work our if we could). The only problem I had was being made to wear an wristbandand at all times. Even having to take the bedding to the launderette at the end of out stay or having to cart of luggage over to our apartment would not put us off returning. The only reason why I wouldn't return is I really don't want to be wearing a plastic band on my wrist, especially outside the hotel.

Ok, it's one kilometer from seaside. But sand there is not really nice, beaches are crowded and you're charged for sunbeds. So it's better to stay in Loano Village. There is animation programme every day both for kids and adults. There are couple of room options - we decided to take fully equipped studio. Kitchenette had all necessary equipment, so breakfasts and lunches were made by us. Staff is nice and helpful. I'd recommend this resort for families looking for some well organized stay.

More like an assisted living village than a hotel...but we really liked it. The rooms were apartment style, newly renovated, clean and had a fully stocked kitchen.Perfect for seniors and familiies because everything is at your fingertips. Too far from the beach to reach by foot, but the area is quiet and they run a shuttle service. Free parking is available nearby and they have a pay garage. Staff was friendly and spoke German and English. Pool was also very nice. Highly recommended if you don't mind a resort-style atmosphere.
