Great location

Posted Oct 3, 2016
Pros: 400m to old town, underground free garage, inexpensive.
Cons: An soft chair in the room.
Location: Cathedral is fantastic, audioguide not easy to follow, says most about the religeous characters rather than about the actual building and its history.
Hotel room is what you expect from a chain, big, clean, comfortable and efficient

Outstanding value

Posted Sep 13, 2016
We stayed here for two nights in September and had a very pleasant time. Car parking was easy and free, the welcome warm and helpful, the room comfortable and the breakfasts excellent (though not cheap at 9.90€). The walk into town, past ornamental fountains and illuminated water displays, was short, and the hotel quiet even though central (and the road and pavement outside was being completely remade!)

Near Centre of Town

Posted Aug 24, 2016 on Wotif
Pros: Hotel is OK & central
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Being centrally located, can get to restaurants (most don't open for dinner until 1900, and lunch goes off about 1330), the cathedral is fantastic.
Found the hotel OK, car parking around the back but easy access to rooms etc. Easy access to the central part of town (about 10 mins walk) and all its facilities. Hotel does not have a restaurant, but does provide the usual French breakfast (which means no bacon & eggs!) our room was next to the lift well, so we experienced some intrusive noise from that.

Overnight stop - couldn't have been better value

Posted Jul 31, 2016
An overnight stop- we arrived late with bikes- staff helpful and although midnight accommodated bikes in hotel. Underground parking full but they found another space for us. Room immaculately clean and bathroom spotless- much appreciated as some toilet hugging happened as one of party ill. Also allowed us a 1 o'clock checkout to help with this. So thank you Ibis Albi

Hotel with parking

Posted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: Position close to old part of city
Location: Albi is a lovely old city on a beautiful stretch of the River Tarn. Toulouse-Lautrec museum is superb and the cathedral really interesting.
If you are staying in old cities and travelling by car it is always difficult to find a hotel at a reasonable price with reliable parking. This was the best I could find in Albi and it was exactly as I expected. The hotel is typically Ibis, so don't expect anything more, but it was clean and the staff pleasant and helpful. The position is excellent, 10 minutes walk and you are in the heart of the old city of Albi, but road access is through the new part of town so you don't have to negotiate any narrow or cobbled streets. Parking is through a doorway only accessed by intercom with reception.

Central place to stay...not fussy...sensible and well designed...quiet...comfortable and quiet. Albi is a delight and you are a short walk from the very centre.

Great base for exploring Albi.

Posted Aug 24, 2012
Pros: Jack at reception. Location. Carpark.
Location: 10 mins walk from Ste Cecile cathedral, 4 min walk from Place du Vigan and the Jardin. Perfect location.
Excellent location and helpful, friendly staff make this a great base for exploring Albi. Carpark is secured and costs €5 per day. Breakfast is plentiful and good quality, rooms comfortable and everything was working. Wifi is complimentary, and there is a computer with printer in the lobby. Elevators available for lugging heavy bags, and just down the road are a plethora of great restaurants, cafes and a nice park. Highly recommended.

Made to feel at home

Wonderful, helpful staff and owners. We found a terrific restaurant:, St. Cecile, to the left of the same named Catherdrale. On street parking easy. Drove to 2 nearby towns recommended by owners of hotel and went to see singing monks recommended by Fodors.
