It was a place that needed some up grade .

The food was not good and only one staff person keeping on top of it. Our bathroom fan did not work and it seemed like it was run down a bit. The courtyard is pretty, but the hotel needs more work put into it to get it back to where it might of been. Not in a great location. The staff was wonderful, polite, and courteous.

Nice clean hotel with pretty great breakfast

Posted Aug 7, 2016
It was clean and the middle courtyard was really pretty and cozy. When I booked it, it was for a room with two queen beds but on arival the beds were normal full sized. I decided not to complain because I was very tired from traveling so I can't say how they would've handled it. Still really enjoyed my stay.

Had a great stay! close to everything!

Posted Aug 1, 2016
Pros: The fact that the staff was there if you needed them, but weren't in your face watching your every move.
Cons: I think it was just fine the way it was.
Location: the aquarium and botanical garden is less than 10 minutes from the hotel. Everything is close by since it's right off of I-10 minus the traffic noise
For the price, this hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff was super friend. The bartender was very nice. The pool was great. I felt like I was in my own home because nobody is overlooking your every move. Felt very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone stopping through ABQ! I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Second Business Trip....wasn't quite as happy

Posted Aug 1, 2016
Pros: The bed is by far the best asset of this property. It is really comfortable and they load you up with pillows. I would have loved to stay in bed!
Cons: The workout room is barely passable. There are not any weights, just cardio equipment.
Location: The location is right next to the highway but I couldn't hear the traffic. ABQ is known for car theft and there's easy access to the parking lot.
The Clubhouse is probably a decent value when compared with the cost and amenities of other ABQ properties but there are a few things to be aware of, before you book here. It is a very popular hotel so it's often very crowded in the hotel and parking lot. If you are people phobic, you won't be happy. On this visit, I was disappointed that every night my key would not work and I had to visit the desk and get another one. Several times there wasn't anyone behind the desk and I had to wait. This property is older and it shows way more on the inside than outside. If you want an updated room that doesn't look tired, again, find another place. However, since it is older, it is built better than the new ones. I was in a room next to the main door by the parking lot and was concerned I would hear the door slam all night. I was wrong! I never heard it at all. The AC worked fairly well and wasn't annoying. The in room fridge was good and cold. I kept lots of drinks ready to go. There was good water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. I did enjoy the two complimentary drinks offered each evening. I also ordered a pizza one night and it was quite good. Breakfast is the usual. However, it doesn't start until 6:30 which is plenty early for tourists, but for business I would prefer it to start at 6. Several of the employees were very friendly and helpful. Some were not in the best mood and were short with me when I asked questions.

Older motel near downtown Albuquerque

Posted Jul 23, 2016
Pros: Proximate to the crossroads of I-25 and I-40.
Cons: See above
Location: See above.
I hadn't stayed at the Clubhouse Inn in Albuquerque for a number of years. It is in need of updating and restoration.

Great experience.

Posted Jul 18, 2016
Pros: Very comfortable room, good breakfast, and helpful staff.
Cons: I appreciate the offer of a free drink during the social hour, but I do not drink alcohol. It would be nice to just have a cola or coffee.
Location: I went to Acoma Sky Pueblo (50 mi. west), the Pueblo Cultural Center and the Petroglyphs Nation Park. Longer trips such as Chaco and Mesa Verde great!
The hotel was very easy to locate, good access to the room, and a very friendly staff.
