A cheap place to stay

Posted Jul 31, 2016
Check in was easy with a friendly desk clerk. The room was small with a microwave, fridge, and 2-burner electric stove by a sink. There were no dishes/pots available. The A/C worked well and the double bed was ok. Not the place to impress your friends, but a decent place to stay when you are on a tight budget. No maid service during my two-day stay, but that didn't bother me.

Pros: It was physically close to our place of interest.
Cons: Ex cons could be run off at the first sign of illegal activity.
Location: Right next to I-25, easy access.
Other reviews I read regarding this Crosslands said "no frills, clean and cheap", hah! The reviewers who recommended this motel failed to mention the night activity by other clientele who were standing outside their rooms, on the 2nd story, hanging on the railing, drinking beer, smoking pot, running down to vehicles that pulled up, conversations with the drivers as drugs and money exchanged hands, Beat up vehicles prowling through the parking lot as several different groups of suspicious looking people sat around in unlit cars, in the dark corners of the parking lot with drug related activity taking place. This motel was scary to the point we were afraid when we had to get in the elevator with some of these guys who looked like ex cons! We scurried to our room and shut and locked the door as quickly as possible! The inside of the room was clean but the outside door, sidewalks and elevator were filthy! A severe power washing is needed all over the outside of this motel! When we checked in, we were told room service is done once per week. We booked for a week, I asked what day we would get service, "the day you check out", what a rip! If you don't mind sleeping in a ghetto with ex cons crawling all over during the night hours, walking past drug activity to get to your car, homeless guys passing out in the grassy area, no room service til you check-out, then this is the place for you!!

Look Behind the Mazda Dealership

Posted May 9, 2016 on Hotels
tFollowing our navigation app we drove through the grounds of the Mazda Dealership... I think the salespeople are used to it, no one rushed out to try to sell us a car. The road to the Hotel is next to the entrance to the car lot, very easy to be confused. Our room had a small kitchen area, sink and cooktop. The room was compact, but comfortable.
