Location: Balloon ride was nice . Owners will set that up for you. Also the breaking bad tour was tacky fun and worth it if you are a fan of the show

Great Service and Location

Posted Nov 1, 2016
The room was great! The food was divine! The innkeepers were so accommodating! It was so kind that they made snacks for the guests! Very walkable for getting in and around Albuquerque! Very interesting history of both the house and the family! The only reason I rated the facilities as please was because the front door can get "sticky" sometimes, but just turn fully and you'll be fine!

Would recommend

A really neat historic spot with lots of interesting stuff to look at in the old "spy house". We really enjoyed the home cooked breakfast. My only suggestion would be to add some softer flatter pillows to the bed.

Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us and enjoy all the Spy House has to offer. Other than the pillows on the bed we offer extra in the room that are not as full hoping that everyone is offered a pillow variety that best suits their needs. I am so sorry this was not better communicated to you.

Historic & lovely B&B.

Posted Aug 5, 2016 on Hotels
Walking distance to the train station & downtown. It's a great location. We had a rental car but you could easily stay at the B&B and walk where you want to go. There is plenty to see. A little far to walk to Old Town but other than that there are many restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues close by. B&B is on a side street off of Central, the old route 66 and is a quiet location.

It was "Great" except would have preferred the bathroom be "in" the same room not separate. Also the mattress was 'tilted' toward the headboard. Other then that GREAT breakfasts, history, and staff!!

Thank you so making us aware of the tilting of the mattress. Right after your stay we fixed it to make sure that the next guest would not have the same problem. The private bathroom down the hall in the room you are in is not in the room because of this room being the historic room that the "spy secrets" were sold out of and trying to keep the historic integrity of the room. So glad you enjoyed your stay.

Historic Fun

Posted Jul 31, 2016 on Hotels
We are history buffs and we loved this historic B&B near downtown Albuquerque. We stayed in the Spy House, where the Greenglasses passed nuclear information to the Soviets (in conjunction with their in-laws, the Rosenburgs). The rooms were comfortable, and the sitting room is furnished with historical information about the house and is a great place to sit and visit. Breakfast was great, and not only were the proprietors nice but so were the other guests.

Charm, comfort and family feel

Posted Jul 27, 2016
Pros: Charming rooms and house. Great hosts and breakfast.
Cons: n/a
Location: There is the singing highway, lots of great live music and Old Town. Much less expensive than Santa Fe.
This is one of the best bed and breakfast experiences I have had. First, upon arrival, we were given a secret code to begin our check-in, which made checking-in an experience all it's own. The house was restored to its original setting and was immaculate. Our room had a patio that was all ours and the house was made to make us feel completely at ease, as if we were staying in our own home. The bed was comfortable, and there was no outside noise to compete with a good night's sleep. We also had the chance to enjoy the outdoor garden with others staying in the B&B. Finally, the owners were both very attentive and friendly. Cara cooked breakfast every morning from her original recipes and the food was amazing. In fact, during breakfast, we sit and talked to the other visitors for a long while.....time just slowed down a bit. I would highly recommend this locale to anyone visiting this city. Thank you for a great trip!!

This place was great, beautiful and historic. Some great restaurants are within walking distance and the neighborhood is cute and nice for an evening stroll. We liked having the backyard space to hang out after dinner, and felt very much at home. The only reason it wasn't a completely 5 star experience was the bed, which was extremely, almost comically squeaky. So every time my partner or I would roll over in the night, we woke each other up - leading to nights that weren't entirely restful. Still, a minor complaint when what we wanted was a cute historic vacation, and that is what we got. Definitely would book again.

Quaint and quiet

Posted Feb 20, 2016
I wish I had stayed here on a weekend get away instead of an overnight before a business meeting. The decore is historic rustic. The bedroom was small but with a high lift bed (with steps) that was very comfortable. The soaker tub in the battering was wonderful. The staff has made accommodation for those who are traveling and come on after hours. There is full breakfast at 830 and Continental breakfast after 9. Very sweet.
