Albuquerque Visit

Posted Jul 21, 2017
As two history buffs, we could not have had a better house or room. We were in the Spy House connected to Ethel and Julius Rosenberg. The location was convenient and the street was quiet. The only complaint we had was that we did not meet any "staff" until the next morning. (The daughter-in-law was the cook.) Our room had the most comfortable bed of all the places we stayed on this trip.

Historical ambience in downtown

Posted Jul 17, 2017
Pros: Not too many people and felt like we were home. Parking right next door, close to everywhere we wanted to go.
Cons: Rooms were nice but the bed could be improved...too soft for us.
Location: We drove to Santa Fe most of time
Nice, cute historical hotel near downtown.. clean , nice staff that made us breakfast every morning and close by major highway.. very convenient

Fun place to stay when in Albuquerque, NM

Posted Jun 24, 2017
Pros: The "Spy" intrigue. In fact the house we were in is named "Spy House". It's compelling while at the same time very charming.
Location: It's close to good restaurants. Also, it's not far from "Old Town" which has museums and shopping.
Kara (co-owner with husband Steve) is so fun and engaging! She is so excited about her "jewels", the 3 homes they have as a B&B set. The restoration is their's and done so well. The clandestine activities that occurred there in the mid 1940s are the valued historic charm of this property. When you get there you'll find more on that! I leave the mystery to draw you on. Breakfast is super and the chocolate truffles are insanely good!

Pros: We arrived late and the check in was effortless. Everything was set perfectly for self check in.
The owners Steve and Kara were very personable and helpful. The breakfasts were unique and delicious. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a B&B in Albuquerque.

Comfortable accommodations close to UNM campus

Posted Apr 4, 2017
My daughter and I stayed here during a visit to check out UNM. The room was super clean and very comfortable, and the house is charming. The first night we had the house to ourselves and got spoiled. The second night a couple stayed in the room above us and were walking around in the middle of the night (not the owners' fault!), which woke us up a few times. Though we couldn't do breakfast because of appointments, we met Kara and her daughter-in-law by chance and they were delightful. It was a great place to stay.
