Fun place to stay when in Albuquerque, NM

Posted Jun 24, 2017
Pros: The "Spy" intrigue. In fact the house we were in is named "Spy House". It's compelling while at the same time very charming.
Location: It's close to good restaurants. Also, it's not far from "Old Town" which has museums and shopping.
Kara (co-owner with husband Steve) is so fun and engaging! She is so excited about her "jewels", the 3 homes they have as a B&B set. The restoration is their's and done so well. The clandestine activities that occurred there in the mid 1940s are the valued historic charm of this property. When you get there you'll find more on that! I leave the mystery to draw you on. Breakfast is super and the chocolate truffles are insanely good!

Pros: We arrived late and the check in was effortless. Everything was set perfectly for self check in.
The owners Steve and Kara were very personable and helpful. The breakfasts were unique and delicious. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a B&B in Albuquerque.

Comfortable accommodations close to UNM campus

Posted Apr 4, 2017
My daughter and I stayed here during a visit to check out UNM. The room was super clean and very comfortable, and the house is charming. The first night we had the house to ourselves and got spoiled. The second night a couple stayed in the room above us and were walking around in the middle of the night (not the owners' fault!), which woke us up a few times. Though we couldn't do breakfast because of appointments, we met Kara and her daughter-in-law by chance and they were delightful. It was a great place to stay.

Charming B&B in great location.

Posted Mar 10, 2017
Our main floor room was lovely and we had access to the kitchen, stocked with cookies, yogurt, fruit and crackers. Although it was a little chilly we had a picnic lunch on a garden table. And Graciela did our room up beautifully and providedchocolate truffles.

Charming and Historic B&B

Posted Jan 31, 2017 on Hotels
This adorable bed and breakfast is full of character, charm and history. Learning about the spies from the nuclear era that used to live in this house was fascinating. Loved the claw foot tub and delicious breakfasts. The construction on Central made this a slightly less convenient location. Also keep in mind that this house is old so you will hear other guests entering and exiting.

Thanks so much for finding the time to express your thoughts. We are very glad you found us and for choosing to stay at our property. Hopefully next time you visit the construction on Central will be completed.

Location, Convenience, Economical

Posted Jan 14, 2017
We stayed at the Downtown Historic B and B and went to a concert at the Sunshine Theatre. What a treat!! We walked to dinner and walked to the concert and loved the location which is near downtown. The check-in process was efficient and easy. The house is well appointed and we will definitely stay there again!

Nice alternative to a Hotel

Posted Jan 14, 2017
Pros: lots of character and lovely room.
Cons: Nothing
A lovely family run B&B which offers a fantastic alternative to those generic hotel/motel rooms. Lovely room with lots of character and enough room for all of us. Breakfast was also top notch! Highly recommended :)

Cozy, Beautiful, Relaxing

We stayed in the Spy House, it was quite, beautiful, and it felt like home! Breakfast was delicious, and they accommodated my special diet. Innkeepers were a friendly, happy, family who obviously love what they do. Housekeeping was excellent!

The Spy House is probably our most favorite of all the properties. Of course we used to actually live there, so maybe that's why. Very prideful on our housekeeping, so glad you notice. Cheers!
