Front desk was amazing very peaceful hotel it was even almost full house. I would definitely stay there again.

Disappointing

Pros: The staff seemed nice.
This hotel looked nice online but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. First of all, while you can easily see the building from the road, it's hard to figure out how to get there! It sounds silly, but really, that is the case. After driving around for awhile we finally found a long driveway that we needed to turn left onto from a very busy road. No left turn lane either- we were praying we wouldn't get hit while waiting to turn. Secondly, while the lobby appeared nice and new, it became apparent as we entered our room that this was either an updated hotel or they just used old furniture/appliances. The entire bathroom was dated, tile grout looked moldy, sink had a large crack, toilet seat was wobbly, etc. And last, but most alarming, was that we heard gunshots two separate times overnight. There is an out of business strip club nextdoor (I know, very classy!) and we saw many people hanging out around there during the day. Needless to say, we got the heck out of there first thing in the morning! Notified the front desk about what we heard overnight, they didn't seem too surprised. Guess we won't be staying here again.

Just a Fun Night

Cons: Nothing
We live in ABQ and just wanted to get away from the house for an evening. It was a very nice stay. The indoor pool is great for the winter and the water slide is a blast.

Nice hotel.

The hotel is nice but alittle disappointed in waterslide hours. If you are staying here for the waterslide, make sure the hours of operation work with your schedule before booking. You don't want to have to schedule your daily activities based on the hours of the waterslide...

The hotel staff was very rude when asked questions

The staff was rude when asked questions about any going on. It was a big busy weekend and that acted like it bugged them when asked about any info needed.

Holiday Inn Balloon Fiesta

Location: Balloon fiesta etc
Wanted a nice hotel for the last night of the ballloon fiesta and chose the HI near the fiesta park. Very convenient with nice facilities and location. Lovely pool and spa tub and great breakfast

better hotels close by in the same price range

Location: The Panera nearby was a good place to find a healthy meal.
The room needed some attention. The AC was loud and rattled. No anti-slip material in the bath/shower.....very slippery and dangerous. Toilet bowl seat was loose. Room had a strong chemical smell. Television remote needed batteries. Staff did their job(s) but robotic during the check in process. A bucket of unknown dark liquid on a restaurant table was noted when we checked in --- and was still there in the morning. Just stayed one night so this review may not be indicative of hotel in general but we don't plan to stay there on our next trip to ALBQ.
