Feels like home

Posted Jan 17, 2017
Pros: Everything. This property should be an inspiration for more and similar development in downtown Albuquerque.
Location: Downtown is a bit empty, Central Ave is 1/2 block away and features some life and a few interesting shops, theaters and restaurants.
This is a unique property. Excellent architecture and appointments, especially in the common areas. The staff is very helpful and friendly, they seem to enjoy working at the hotel and welcome you as a guest in their home. Relax in the lobby alcoves with a glass of wine in the early evening. You will be impressed with the vibe of this hotel, so different from the cookie cutter "big brand" hotels.

Pretty architecture but stingy with the details

Posted Jan 11, 2017
This was an adequately comfortable hotel, and I appreciate their efforts to be environmentally friendly, but I learned from staying here that I always want to check to make sure a hotel has in-room coffee before I commit to staying there. A relaxing morning in your own room is one of the compensations for the rigors of travel. If you have to get dressed and go downstairs for coffee it really kind of ruins that sense of relaxation. I did however appreciate that they had a healthy breakfast option (eggs with kale, quinoa, and sweet potatoes). It's hard to find nourishing food when you're on the road, and that got me through a busy day pretty well!

Hotel has lots of potential but doesn't live up to it. Employees are poorly trained, rooms are worn. Hard to sleep when you can hear every sound through the walls

Very nice

Posted Dec 17, 2016
Pros: Beautiful decor.
Cons: Put real doors on the bathrooms. My other complaint is that everything closed so early, they have two bars and both close very early.
Location: Location is right downtown ABQ, but there is not much to do downtown ABQ.
It's a very beautiful hotel and it's nice that there is a restaurant bar attached. The rooms are nice but I have one major complaint about the room bathroom, the door did not have a lock or latch and the sliding door did not cover the full doorway cutout. It made for very little privacy which is uncomfortable.

Cons: The cost of valet parking.
Very nice hotel. The valet parking was too expensive. Customer service was good.

Nice Hotel but not a nice area.

Was my first time in Albuquerque so I didn't know the City. I would recommend or The Old Town Area or the modern Up Town area full of shops

Hotel with character

Posted Oct 28, 2016
Pros: More character than a run of the mill chain hotel.
Location: Downtown - very convenient for the rail runner station for trains to Santa Fe - just a couple of blocks away.
Charming and characterful hotel, beautiful reception area. Helpful staff. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable

Hot in October

Posted Oct 7, 2016
We stayed here during balloon fiesta and attended a concert at the ampatheater. The location is great, it is clean and nice decor. For the price we paid I expected more. Our room would not get cool. We opened the windows to try and cool it off. There wasn't a breeze at the time so no luck. We tried every setting on the AC with no luck.

Hotel with charm

Posted Oct 1, 2016
Pros: Location and charm
Cons: Lighting and plugs in room should be improved, particularly for business travellers.
Location: Close to Downtown
Nice to find a hotel with some taste and charm. The decoration is done with great care and is really lovely, incorporating local themes and art.

Pros: Beautiful lobby.......nice artwork and I loved the colored glass.
Cons: See comments about beds, above
Location: It ended up being a good location, very well located.........very quiet downtown, though.......seems to be typical of Western cities, though......
Lovely hotel.......beds could have been a little more comfortable!! And sharp corners on the edge........I cut my shin on one of the corners going around the bed.....
