"Beautiful And Elegant North Valley"
The inn is stunning. The details of the decor in the rooms are wonderful. Lovely sheets. We stayed in a Farm room suite. The grounds of the property are lovely. The lavender fields look and smell great. We took nice walks around the area suggested by the staff. The pool area was stunning - very calm and relaxing. Zen-like. The entire place is subtly sophisticated. Breakfast was delicious with some New Mexican flare.

"A nice change from the boring/ordinary hotel."
Was really a fun little place with lots of charm. The staff were great. There are no shared amenities as all rooms have their own private bathrooms and showers.

"Good for a brief stay"
This motel is good for a quick stay and close to Old Town. However, while we were there, there was construction on Central Avenue, making it difficult to walk and drive. Once the construction clears, it should be better. The hotel owner was very friendly, helpful and checked us in early. The room was old-school, but roomy, comfortable and perfectly clean. Easy walking distance to Old Town.

"Excellent room, excellent view"
We were greeted by an extremely helpful front desk. The check in was efficient and included local cookies that were great. The lobby was inviting and the restaurant open and easily accessible. The 8th floor jr suite was inviting and open. The windows allowed for a panoramic view of the mountains and we enjoyed watching 10 hot air balloons taking off while sitting on our bed. We were comfortable the entire stay and even slept well the first night. We ate at the restaurant for all of our breakfasts, one dinner and also enjoyed coffee fried ice cream for afternoon treat. The hostesses, waiters and waitresses were attentive and friendly. Food was very good but we had to try other places because we were at such a great location. This is one of the best hotels we have visited and are looking forward to trying one of the chains Santa Fe locations in the fall.

Bottger Mansion of Old Town

"at the gateway to Old Town"
I was in Albuquerque for a professional meeting and wanted a home base in a walkable part of town. The Bottger Mansion fit the bill perfectly. Historic Old Town begins less than a block away and the owners, Steve especially, have really good insight into shops and restaurants to actively seek out (and, too, to actively avoid - I'm grateful for both bits of advice). It's about a three block walk to Tiguex Park, a walkable relaxing urban park, and the adjacent museums. The biopark, botanical center, and zoo are a mile down the road. Steve and Kathy were very welcoming. Their breakfasts were outstanding, focusing on quality rather than quantity. In the morning they had excellent coffee (strong, locally-roasted and freshly brewed) and the rest of the day they had a Keurig set up for guests. My room was comfortable though compact, there was plenty of pressure and hot water in the shower, and the bed was comfortable. We'll happily return again.
