The property was well kept and clean. The price was reasonable. A few issues stand out. When we arrived at the advertised checkin time (4:00) we were told our room would not be available for another hour. The girl behind the desk was harried, curt and on the phone half the time. I had just driven for over three hours and was very tired. We were offered no alternative other than sitting in the lobby for an hour. The door to the room was poorly set, leaving a substantial gap around the edges which let wind in. The controls for the shower were confusing and difficult to master. The facility is located right near an I-40 on-ramp. Motorcyclists were blasting onto the freeway at full-throttle at various times all night. All that aside, the room was comfortable, with nice kitchen facilities. The free breakfast in the lobby was adequate.

Not a lot of insulation so you can hear the neighbors and everything happening outside. Smoke alarm went off at 1:30 in the morning one night for no reason. Said they would look at a partial refund but never received any.

I extended my stay for two more nights and they took my card twice for the same extended night and wanted it a third time. I spoke with three different persons who stated my room was booked. The day before my leave they asked me to leave since they claimed I did not have the room booked. It is horrible and I have never had anyone ask me to leave. I am waiting to see what I am charged still.

Everything was great. Had a slight mix up with our extension on stay but staff fixed it and everything else was great. The only thing concerning was the area. Alot of homeless people wonder around the parking area.

This is a quaint-no frills-quiet hotel that offers you enough amenities to get a good nights sleep. The rooms are spacious and the kitchenette is an added plus. Although it is located next to a highway, you would never know it because of it being so quiet.

We couldn't believe the size of the room and quality for the price that we paid. Our room was the perfect size for our two nights there. Plenty of room with a couch, little kitchen and bath. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet even though it was near a highway. Our room was very clean as was the area. Breakfast was decent, it could use some fruit or yogurts. Everything you would need for a longer stay in the area.

We have stayed at this property at least yearly for 9 years and this was the first disappointment, beginning with a $10/day parking fee. The room was drafty (needs weather stripping on the door) There were no batteries in the TV remote.....AND.....ta da.....The water was turned off at 5 am on our last day and we were NOT notified! (there was a sign on the hotel door). Needless to say, no shower, flush toilet, drinking water, etc. We had no room cleaning, although that may be due to our service dog. We had her with us each of the 3 days and never had a bed made, etc.....We will be looking for a new hotel for our frequent trips to Albuquerque.

Had a reservation. Upon check in was a 250 deposit. I explained i have a credit card for the deposit. They would not accept it. I was told it had to be on card used for reservation. I cancelled my reservation and went to a much nicer hotel for the same price and accepted my credit card.

Great place to stay
I had to stay for a medical appointment and it lasted longer than anticipated. I called the office and they were very understanding and held my room until I could get there to gather my belongings after the checkout time and this has happen on several occasions and there were friendly and helpful in my situation always. The staff has always been wonderful!!! I would always and do recommend Sonesta as a great place to stay!
