Hotel old and in need of refurbishment.Posted Aug 19, 2015 on Wotif
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Plenty of things as mentioned above.
Location: As I was on a business trip I didn't have time to see much of the city.
Only stayed a couple of days, but enough to say the hotel is outdated. The staff were friendly and efficient. No electric blanket in weather around - degrees. A toaster is essential these days ( none here ). The room needed a good clean.

Simple and adequatePosted Aug 12, 2015 on Hotels
Basic and adequate for our overnight stay. Staff obliging and friendly. Chose this hotel for its close proximity to the highway and its generous parking facilities. Evening meal was good with generous serving sizes.

No heating. Froze to death. Make sure you check the heating works as soon as you check in.

Location: Easy walk into Albury's foodie hub, superb accessibility from the freeway, and it has its own bar so you only need walk upstairs for a cheeky bev.
Bunked in for one night on a solo interstate drive, the room was nice and cozy (almost totally occupied by the double bed, but there was still enough room to move about), and the shower was quite excellent the next morning. Perfect spot to walk around a bit in town, super convenient to reach as it's about 2 minutes from the exit off the freeway. Great motel to stay in for a stop over on a road trip!

Close to shops!Posted Aug 8, 2015 on Lastminute
Cons: The beds.
Nice clean hotel just need to upgrade the beds as they were like sleeping on a slab of concrete! Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

We stayed here due to the proximity to the hospital. The staff here made a very tough time for my family much more managable.

A motel not fit for animals, let alone peoplePosted Jul 16, 2015 on Wotif
Quite possibly the worst accommodation experienced. Room was incredibly unclean- remnants of past guests left on bedding and in bathroom, especially noted on faecal matter present on the 4 sheets of toilet paper left on roll. Carpet stained and room smelt of something akin to a broken sewer. We lasted 20minutes- Astor staff made no effort to address issue. This location was of such a low standard it was shocking- even the lowest end of the accommodation spectrum would be better. Be warned: STAY AT YOUR OWN PERIL: DO NOT STAY AT THE ASTOR!!!
