Great charmPosted Jul 20, 2012 on Hotels
Hospederia La Tercia is a restored 300-year-old building that has been furnished with antiques - every room is different and full of utter charm. One of our rooms even had a (non-functional, I presume) hookah with six surrounding pillows! The location is THE best of all Alcala hotels - iliterally across the street from the cathedral, and from the adjacent outdoor bar/breakfast area you can watch the activity at a half-dozen storks' nests. The staff are warm and friendly - we enjoyed getting to know them. Downsides are the lack of an elevator and the sloping ceilings on the top floor rooms - watch your head. But we were glad we chose this place over a more modern hotel that was away from the city center.
