Pleasant stay

Does what it says on the tin! Ideal location to access all local amenities. Reasonably comfortable bed, average size rooms. Great breakfast, although would have liked more variety. Overall, good value for fairly central Aldeburgh. Thank you for having us!

Nice hotel - a good find!

Posted Aug 20, 2017
Pros: Location- Aldeburgh is lovely and only a few minutes' walk away. It is also very quiet, clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable.
Cons: No- a good find.
Location: The town is lovely and Southwold is only a shortish drive away.
Nice hotel within easy walking distance of the beach and high street, with its shops, pubs and restaurants. Olga was very welcoming on arrival and the room, although not particularly big, was very clean and comfortable. There was ample space to park at the side of the hotel.

Well received by friendly owners. Car parking a bit restricted and our room was cramped

Lovely place near the town.

Pros: Felt homely and relaxed.
Cons: I would have liked to see a small sitting room for guests..as one doesn't always like to sit in the room?
Location: Town, beach, pubs etc.
Very comfortable and Robert was very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble.

Friendly hotel for a short stay on Aldeburgh

Posted Oct 20, 2016 on Hotels
The hosts at Toll House (Robert and Olga) were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the service at breakfast was fine. It was about a ten minute walk to the shops and restaurants in Aldeburgh but there is a very nice pub just across the road.

Good B & B

Posted Oct 5, 2016 on Hotels
A good B & B. I had a room at the back of the house and it was very quiet. Front rooms on the road might have more noise in day, although the night is very traffic free. Excellent breakfast and pleasant and friendly hostess.

Well located, clean and friendly

The Toll House is conveniently located a 5-10 minute walk from Aldeburgh sea front, & close to Benjamin Britten's home, the Red House. The hosts were very hospitable & welcoming. The room was immaculate & nicely decorated. Breakfast was very good, catering for Gluten Free, and with a nice selection of local home made preserves. We enjoyed our stay.
