Good for a stop over
Worked well for a stop over, nothing special but good value for what it is. Family rooms are two adjoining rooms which work well. Baby cot provided which was handy. Communication up until day of arrival ignored but on day of arrival very quick and helpful.

France stop over - basic hotel
Very basic hotel and small room. The hotel is in need of refurbishment. The restaurant is closed at the weekend! We ate in the Buffalo Grill which is 2 minutes ago which was very nice and I would recommend. The hotel allows dogs and our room smelt a bit doggy. There was a dog barking in one of the rooms close by which was bad when trying to get to sleep after a long journey. The water in the shower was cold until we ran the sink tap for ages. The heater was under a table which made it difficult to control the temperature and also very dangerous! We found by chance that the table actually moved which made it easier! We only wanted a bed for the night when travelling to Calais to catch the ferry and the hotel was ok but would recommend it for a holiday!

A reasonably priced, friendly and comfortable hotel situated within an industrialised section of Alencon but quiet, well insulated, bedroom with standard facilities for a 2 star hotel, en-suite and large double bed comparable with IBIS.

hotel looked closed when we arrived at 11pm
When we arrived we were locked out of the hotel and the lobby was closed. Luckily a hotel guest opened the front door and gave us a number to ring to find out our room number. Where we found our keys in the bed. Better communication would have helped for guests arriving late.

Room was a little tired and very hot. Addition of a fan would have been great. Beds were very comfortable though and room was really quiet so we slept well.

Overnight stay - room was good - sink plug faulty staff should have known - would not release and when did fell apart - shower too small - kettle lead too short to safely reach socket from table - breakfast items not replenished quickly enough for ourselves on request and also from other guests - these all effect what is a very nice hotel

Understaffing leads to frustration
Our stay was good BUT the hotel is run on a shoestring. We had dinner and the food was good and value for money. The waitress did everything and was very pleasant. If there was a sudden influx of diners she was incapable of dealing with everything and the waiting time would definitely increase. Breakfast was handled “Buffet style” by one person who was also dealing with people checking out. There was not a great deal left by 9.00 am and even bread was limited. The hot element was limited by this time and was not replenished. Even bread was absent and only 2 small baguettes were supplied on request. They soon ran out. Our checkout was delayed as we had to explain we had paid for our room on booking. This was resolved but took a long time. Our stay was good as we were on our way south and had lots of time. I imagine the experience would be much poorer if we were tired and heading north for a ferry. Staff did try hard.

Stop over hotel.
Like all the travellers making their way back from a holiday in France, we chose this hotel for our overnight stay to catch an early fairy the next day. We booked 2 rooms for a family of 4. One room with a double bed and another with two single beds. Pros: Cheap Friendly receptionist Cons: Foul smelling bathroom in one of the rooms which made it impossible to use. They couldn’t rectify the problem. Although the receptionist helped us with a spray, the stench was very strong. So we ended up using the bathroom in another room. Bed side lamp was broken. No air conditioning so ended up waking up quite a lot. Coffee kettle but there was no place to connect it. Also they forgot to put the body wash in our bathroom so had to go and remind them. They sent us a bottle of some sort.

I didn't put postal code in so unfortunately we got lost it the staff were very helpful and friendly, the restaurant area was nice sorry didn't take any photos, would recommend this hotel to anyone.

No lift
Not good for elderly people with mobility problems. No LIFT lucky we where only on the first floor thankfully, but it took me a while to get up and down but managed with help from family. Bathroom small shower was a no no for me but was clean

This hotel is good value for money. There is very little else in the area but it's handy for a stop over. Very good buffet breakfast

Great hotel for a stop en route
Really warm welcome at reception.Free parking. Given a room on the ground floor, so not sure if there is a lift. Unfortunately as it was Sunday evening the restaurant was closed but we were able to eat at Buffalo Grill a few minutes walk away. The room is very small - nowhere really for opened suitcases, but it is clean and well equipped including tea making facilities. Bathroom very good - super shower and cubicle and a powerful hairdryer.Good for a stopover en route.

Beware!!! Check your Credit Card statement
I booked my stay at this hotel at an agreed rate of 45 euro's for 1 night plus 1.20 euro's tourist tax. This was to be charged by the hotel to my credit card after my stay. I stopped at the hotel on the 11 Aug 15 and found that it was adequate for a one night. . I did not eat or incur any additional charges. Upon returning home l checked my credit card statement and found that l had been charged 61.20 euro's. I initially contacted Hotels.com who attempted to retify this matter on my behalf but were unable to do so, therefore l sent the hotel several e mails including using their dedicated e mail system but to this date they have failed to respond to any of my messages to rectify the overcharge. I would advise anyone using this hotel to be very very wary of being overcharged and to check all credit card statements thoroughly. PS I have documentation to confirm everything l have written. Having checked tripadvisor it appears that the hotel has history of overcharging

EXPEDIA failed to book!!
Arrived at hotel and they had no confirmation of booking from Expedia, however the receptionist was very helpful and there was a room available. The room was smelly and it would appear to be a known problem as they were perfumed sticks and air fresheners present although too old to be effective. Mentioned the smell on departure and the only comment given was that we were on the first floor which implies a construction problem. The hotel is convenient for our travels in France and there is a Buffalo Grill practically next door and therefore the positives outweigh the negatives - also simple but good breakfast

A Good Stopover.
We enjoyed our overnight stay at the hotel. The room was fairly small but more than adequate for 1 night, shower etc., facilities were good. We found it one of the quietest night's stays we have had in a motel, but that can always be just down to the guests at the time. At breakfast there was a good selection of bread, cheese, meat, drinks etc. Would stay here again.

great stop over
overall better than expected. Very clean and welcoming. The wifi was free and extremely fast. Room very clean but also very compact, no problem for an overnight stay on route. I would definitely recommend so long as that is all you need.

Good budget hotel.
Stayed one night en route to Spain,ideal location for motorways etc. Comfortable night ,wifi good and parking,everything that we needed. Good budget hotel perfect for 1 or 2 nights.Rooms small and compact.

not too bad for cleanliness but had to ask for a kettle,tea and coffee that were meant to be in the room. And the size of the room was very disappointing it was supposed to be a twin room but was in fact a double room with the bed split in two with only about 2 inches of space between the beds.
