Pro: Excellent location - near major transportation terminals, very close to city center. Breakfast is pretty good. Con: Very small room, no fridge, bed and bedding just ok, not very comfortable and clean. Breakfast table is very small, can only fit two plates. Check in at midnight, staff did not say anything, only "this is your room key", that is all. Overall: Price is reasonable, what you paid is what you get.

Avoid this old 80s hotel
Do not choose this hotel unless you have no other option. There are better hotels at this price. It is a 1 star at most. There are better and "modern" hotels in the area for similar price. Location, right by the harbor and some of the exterior/outer rooms get canal view (if you are lucky). Rooms are clean (but very old 80s ish) and the behavior of the staff is excellent. Negative: Extremely outdated. Feels like in the 80s. Rooms are dark will not enough lighting (just a few dim lamps). There is no led lighting like any modern hotel. The inner rooms have no natural light whatsoever and very depressing. Two single beds are pushed together, even though I requested double beds. Bathroom design totally outdated, belongs more to an old home than a hotel. No electric kettle, safety box or tea/coffee in the room. The TVs in the room are very old 1st generation LCD tv and not mounted in front of the bed (which means you have to sit on a chair on the side to watch tv). Every fixture, furniture is outdated. The bed's mattress does not belong to a hotel. The hotel charges 150 NOK per hour after check out in case you request a late check out. It is a very cheap stunt to milk every bit of money from the guests.

Not a 4 stars hotel!
This is not a 4 star hotel, towels looked like rugs and smelled, room very small, electrical outlets oddly placed, the room had no functionality. Breakfast was mediocre.Room with a window to the street facing a bar where people screamed all night.

The hotel and the rooms were clean and the feeling was that the hotel is brand new and warm. Breakfast was OK. Even though, when we checked in, there was a storm outside, and the girls on the reception were not so nice and welcoming.

Fabulous hotel close to Ålesund main centre & cruise ship terminal. starting point of Aksla viewpoint only a short walk away. Highly recommend the breakfast when staying at this hotel. No onsite car parking. Would definitely stay in this hotel again

Great location.
Great location - right across from bus terminal - excellent breakfast - great view of the harbor from our window, smaller room than expected. New carpet in hallways would help appearance. Also missing soap and shampoo. Front desk staff very helpful.

Best hotel on this trip
Service was very helpful and pleasant. The buffet breakfast was okay, not the nicest, but decent. The heated floor in the bathroom was a nice treat. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The view overlooking the area was great. It was the best place out of the six places we stayed while in Norway.

Pictures on website are nuch better than reality.
I got the largest room they offer, it's an American standard size. They bed was completely worthless, as most euro beds are. Breakfast was fine, lobby area is good. Rooms can use more light.

Great all round Hotel
I was received a warm welcome when I arrived and each and every time I passed the front desk. I was upgraded from a budget single room to a deluxe twin with balcony. It was so unexpected and made my stay so enjoyable. My room was clean and well equipped. The breakfast had everything I could possibly want and excellent quality. The hotel was very well located and handy for the bus station, I cannot fault the hotel and will definitely go back. The staff at the hotel are a credit to the Company and a farewell goodbye from the staff completed a wonderful stay. Thank you.
