I traveled with my family. We arrived late just before midnight. It was really tricky to find the hotel even with 3 brand of gps (35mn kept turning around the area). A lot of construction around it will make almost impossible to access. The room was not ready to accommodate 4 of us, even though we booked for 4. I asked for a second room so the kids can sleep straight away and the manager tried to sell it double the price. At the end I had to book it in a rush with Expedia before midnight at $116, when it was on their website at 70. And the manager kept asking for 150 !!! Finally the manager was so rude that he pretended to give the kids free breakfast while I booked the first room with breakfast for the 4 of us. There is a lot of construction just next to the hotel as they are extending so do not expect to wake up late.

NICE BUT 1 HOUR OUTSIDE OF TOWN
The hotel is a long way outside of Alexandria near a huge petrochemical plant. It is also quite hard to find the entrance unless you know to stop at the guarded gate with no signs. Also Uber to get there is cheap but taxi to get back, Uber is not allowed past the gate, is 3x the Uber cost. Then they offered us a “private tour for 750EGP vs 350 for the taxi but it was only 3 hours and used up one hour just getting back to town and the driver did not speak English so it was not a tour just a car and driver.

My stay was very good. HOTEL was very clean and the genaral staff was very very nice and helpful. The only two staff members that were not helpful were one of the receptionist lady that I asked her where can i get some change for a 100 pound bill and where can I exchange some US dollars and she (rudely) answered me (I don't know). An answer that should never come out of a receptionist of a reputable Hotel like Radisson blu. Same answer came from the concierge on the counter next to the reception area. I got the change i need and the information for where to exchange currency from the Most friendly face in this Hotel.(The restaurant manager during breakfast) Also the Kids pool was closed.

Big size room but everything else was disappointing. Bad quality of service, bad food, nothing to do with what I’ve saw in the pictures, very small gym and swimming pool was disappointing. No maintenance of the hotel and unprofessional employees. Price don’t reflect at all the quality of this hotel. Don’t recommend.

Great Stay a little far away from the City
We stayed in the Radisson Blu in a recent trip to Alexandria, 4 friends in 2 rooms. They were amazing accommodating us with early check-ins since we had been traveling for close to 30 hours. The food was good. The personnel super friendly. It's far away from the city so plan to spend in taxis or ubers for at least 45 minutes.

The hotel was nice overall just far away from downtown. It didnt state this in the booking so the hassle of going into town of paying a lot for a car and time is what i didnt like

Very poor hotel for a Radisson Brand
Service was emotionless and done because they had to. No smiles and no extra effort or going out of their way to make the experience good. To many points to explain here! No problems with room - excellent. (no bottled water every day though!) Hotel had no character, nothing to do, hotel is in the middle of no-where or rather a very run down area There was a lot of choice with food but it was tasteless and breakfast was really well done but always cold. Hotel would not let us get local taxis and we had to use theirs at an extortionate price I checked the reviews before I booked and do not agree with them. I would not recommend this hotel. Old fashioned and out dated. Front counter manager was a terrible representative for the hotel - very rude, abrupt and seriously lacking in cusomer service skills (Ahmed)

I stayed here for two nights on my last business trip to Alexandria. For the most part it was a pleasant stay. The hotel staff was very nice and accomodating. Room service menu had a nice selection and the service was quick and arrived hot. The free wifi was nice, as most hotels I stay in on my business travels charge per day for wifi. The room was very large with a large balcony. The rooms and the hallways were a bit run down. The sliding door on the balcony was broken and would not lock. The air conditioning unit started leaking water all over the floor the morning that I checked out. The little details were where I felt the hotel was most lacking. The pillows were absolutley awful. They were very lumpy and extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. The floor of the hotel room was tile and the hotel did not provide slippers or robes. There were also no toiletries provided other than the basic shampoo, conditioner and bath gel. Perhaps I have become spolied by the hotels that I have stayed at in the past. Overall a decent hotel but there is definitely much room for improvement.

If you just need to stay one night for a layover, it's ok. If you want to stay more, you should have your own car. It's very far from anything. Also, the area smells, so don't go out on your balcony. The only good thing about the hotel was the pool. The breakfast was fair. The dinner, which was way overpiced, was not worth anything. It looked like it sat out all day. They made the beds and changed the towels. Didn't appear to clean the floors. We had to ask for an extra towel each day for the third person in the room. Apparently it's to hard to count to 3. They did not replenish the tea or coffee packets. Definately not star quality. Disappointing.

Where to start? Having planned our trip to Cairo we decided to make a quick journey to Alexandria as friends had recommended it. We chose the RADISSON BLU ALEXANDRIA NORTHERN COAST RD as it was 4 star. We found this motel to be situated 3/4 hrs drive from the town and had no tourist attractions near. As there were 4 in the patry we asked for 1 double and 2 twin beds, this did not happen... after check in and finding our way to the room we found only 1 bed and a not too clean room. The porter sent to bring the extra beds had no english and was very hard to communicate with. The hotel surrounds were dirty with food scraps and drink containers left on tables and paper left to blow about with the breeze. It had a very blu sorry feel to it. The advertised ammenities eg hairdresser, travel shop, gift shop... not in existance and the desk staff were unable to provide brochures and information as they "Had None Left".They couldn't find any. So as a Radisson Hotel tjis one does not live up to the standards of it's partners. NO I would not recommend nor stay here again.

During our stay it was very nice especially morning breakfast.. I was fantastic. The location of the hotel was FAR away from the city but the hotel have shuttle service and it is free.. and all the hotel guests can avail this.... But overall it was a pleasant stay....

It's a good for stay but it's far from city and it was under construction in Fall2009
The hotel is a huge and comfortable complex (now they've built 30% from it). It's one hour from city by car (I booked it because of wrong info in google, now it fixed). It's not good. The area outside is open with green grass, roads, and future hotel complex and other buildings under construction. You don't have place to walk. Tennis or golf court are also presented. Swim pool outside with warm water and free towels. Good food. The rest please see on hotel's site. To get to the hotel from city by taxi call it ALEX WEST. Alexandria's not a city of clean streets and air - please mention. The room (2-rooms' in our case) was very good, and the bathroom either.

Radisson Blu Alexandria - Too far out
The hotel is almost a small resort, very modern and clean. The downside is the surrounding area is rather dilapidated or under construction, and the view from my room was an oil refinery, and since I work on offshore drilling rigs the last thing I wanted to see on my vacation was more oil industry stuff. The hotel is about an hour from anything worth seeing in Alexandria, making it expensive and complicated to get into the city. If you are planning a trip to Egypt and want to see the sights in Alexandria it is better to stay in Cairo/Giza and hire a car for a day to take you to Alexandria to see the sites rather than stay in Alexandria (it takes maybe half a day to see everything in Alexandria).

Secure, safe, luxurious but isloated location.
This hotel is miles from anywhere, surrounded by spare building plots with nowhere to stroll. But,.....it is luxurious, the staff at 1am were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Our room on the ground floor was huge, and had a large patio overlooking the swimming pool complex. The furnishings in the room and bathroom were top of the range and the whole 'suite' was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was buffet style with very attentive waiters and egg chefs. We were sorry to leave the hotel the next day.
