The staff are incredibly friendly and that was a great comfort for me as a solo traveller. I felt taken care of. Facilities are really good but the staff stood out by far as genuinely lovely people. Ready to help and go the extra mile.

Very nice hotel!
Very nice hotel. Rooms are good size and good bed. Dining services are very good and great buffet breakfast worth every penny of 16 Euro. Very nice pool and shuttle available to beach and Marina. Marina has very good restaurant options and nicely done area with shops.

We had a very lovely stay! beautifully, clean property with friendly staff. the area around the property is not very interesting, though we knew this upfront and shuttles are available to bring you to either the beach or harbor. One recommendation is for the shuttle to drive later back from the beach (16.00 is very early to end a beach day) as well as from the harbor (21.30 is very early to finish your dinner and get the shuttle back)

The property was fantastic, with a comfortable room and AC that worked! There was plenty on-site if you wish to not move, and with us only having a few days, that’s exactly what we did. We didn’t play golf, but I’ll be coming back to arrange a golf trip. The pool area was great, clean, and enough room to stay in the sun or shade all day (depending on preference). There was a games room and gym, and a fantastic spa all available. My only criticism was the restaurant options, if you do plan on being on-site the whole time, you’ll be eating the same food regularly. Cilantro was their “fine dining” restaurant, and it was good - just not great! Whereas their poolside and grill bars saved the same sandwiches and burgers and nothing else. Maybe one more restaurant choice onsite with something in between the both would have made the stay all the more comfortable. The hotel offers free shuttles down to the beach and marina which came in handy on our first day (there is a hotel tapas bar on the beach too, to slightly contradict my above statement, but again - it’s not directly on-site). All in all, it was a great stay and I will be back. Next time we will make the use of the restaurants in town/the marina.

We spent 4 days at this beautiful hotel. The staff was wonderful! Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional with all the choices. I loved the omelette station! You have the choice of eating inside or outside. Poolside restaurant was very nice. The inside bar offered a nice selection of cocktails and snacks. There’s a shuttle service to the marina which is about 5 minutes away. We had a great stay and will definitely be back!

This is a beautiful hotel but the pool arrangements need some attention.While fully understanding that children love to be in the pool there is no facility for adults who want to swim and not have to dodge ongoing water fight battles.There is a quiet area but this is often in partial shade and the pool is small..The Hilton in Malta which I would rate as 5 has a designated pool for over 16 year olds as well as large family areas That arrangement works well.

brilliant hotel a few rough spots here and there
The actual premises themselves are absolutely amazing. There is a lot to offer here if you are looking for a few bars and restaurants and a choice of pools. The food here is really good too and all of the staff 100% make you feel like they want you to have the best of experiences. It is a little out of the way of the beach or mariner but there is a shuttle or a little touritst train which takes you there every half an hour. Downsides - we hired the presidential suite and this was quite dated with the dining table being split from use. Furniture had cracks in the bed side table, coffee table was split so i think they must not have purchased the best wooden furniture. They had marble tables which were heavily marked so it did make the room feel less special than it should have. Patio furniture was very dated and not pleasant to be around for that standard of room so we steered clear of the balcony etc. We did order room service as the food in the hotel had been so good but this was not great. However the hotel did address this and did remove the cost from the bill so you cannot complain at that. There is also no entertainment in the hotel but I think this is because we came in the quiet part of the season. Overall the hotel and staff are exceptional and whilst there are some negative we will definitely be returning . thanks for a great stay !!

The Hilton Vilamoura was beautiful, the rooms were lovely and clean, the staff was incredibly kind! The breakfast was lovely and worth the extra fee. I was travelling with 2 kids under 6 and the staff were all so kind to them. We were there in March and I believe the outdoor pools had just opened so they were cold, but the indoor pool is lovely. My 5 year old loved the playground and the staff there was so nice! I would definitely return here.

The hotel is dated and needs an upgrade. The room was comfortable but water pressure very low, barely adequate for a shower - also barely hot. I was told at the reception that it needs to run for at least 5 minutes before warming up - unfortunately it didn't. The staff were friendly. The spa was not in a good condition, some areas closed off, just generally run down.

Disappointing for babies
This hotel is obviously good for groups and golfers but not really family. It’s just not baby friendly. Although there were lots of babies there at the same time, the service around them was quite poor. There’s almost nothing to feed an 11 month old for any meal and this was the hardest thing. The pool is freezing so when it’s their only activity of the day it’s so disappointing. There’s nowhere to sit outside and have a drink. The entrance to the kids club is up a few flights of stairs so no way you can get a buggy up unless you lift it. Just small things would make this place so much better. I was disappointed and won’t go back.

Excellent hotel with a free shuttle to the stunning beach and marina. We stayed in a 2-bedroom pool view apartment which was clean and spacious. The only downside is that all sun beds by the main pool are taken (with towel on them) by 8am.

Poorly managed hotel, no Senior Management actively seen to ensure the hotel is running as it should be. Breakfast is always a queue to get in and poorly organised. Toilets nearest to the pool were out of order for the entire week. No stairs to access the various floors so have to use the lifts each time. Pool bar was good but charged 4.50 euros for a large bottle of water. Pool area is poorly maintained and none of the coffee tables are even cleaned. No presence of staff going around the pool cleaning. Public areas of thr Hotel is in serious need of refurbishment, removing the fake rockery around the pools would be a good start!

The staff are so lovely here. This was our second time at this hotel and we can't wait to come back. The whole hotel is lovely with all the different pools and plenty of comfy sunbeds and parasols. The food at breakfast and cilantro is wonderful too. Unfortunately the pool bar and spa pools were shut during our stay. Some smaller lunch options would be nice at the aqualera restaurant.
