Second Visit - Dissappointed

Posted Sep 20, 2015
Pros: Location
This was my second visit to Aqua Mar - following on from a vastly different experience first time round. Although room quality is the same in all rooms, the room I booked (Garden View) had no garden view at all. Instead it was partly underground with a view of the public car park and a chicken wire fence. Take care when booking in case the same happens

Pros: Gentle ambience
Cons: Wi-fi in the rooms as well as the public areas
Location: The location is excellent for exploring the resort of Olhas D'Agua as it is just off the Main Street that leads to the beach, restaurants and bars
Well appointed apartments close to all amenities. Spacious apartments that are well equipped.

Pros: Location, cleanliness and pool.
Cons: Yes WiFi in the room would be great, also a more up to date TV.
Location: The apartments were opposite restaurants and bars, and only ten minutes walk down to the beach.
The apartment suited our needs. The hotel apartment was adequate, with all the amenities that you would want. Clean, and very spacious. However, it was very quiet and the staff were not very enthusiastic, which was probably because it was the end of the season. The road up to the apartments were poor, especially for a wheelchair, very bumpy. We hired an electric scooter, and it kept stopping because the road was so bumpy. The food was OK, but it seemed a bit of trouble to make anything. And no change in the till, that sort of thing.

Everything was broken

Posted Sep 28, 2014
Extremely basic apartments with no maintenance whatsoever, leaking shower, broken fridge, TV, fuse box, door handle, drawer and toaster, cleaners were good but seemed to have an issue with cleaning mirrors because they never did, reception staff uninterested with one lady in particular extremely rude, cheap apartments but definitely not cheerful or worth any money, would avoid

Small & Basic but very clean

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: Small, basic and clean. Never had a hotel lock its doors at midnight before and you have to press a bell to be let in.
Cons: Was a cheap and cheerful getaway for us.
Location: The strip and old town are around 10 euros in a taxi away so work expensive if you go reguular.
You get what you pay for. Room was extremely clean and very spacious with towels changed everyday. The town it's self has a small beach and a small section of bars and restaurants. Taxis are quite expensive and you usually had to wait a while for one as it was August apparently. Loved Portugal and the weather was great but will next time stay in the old town as the town was was a taxi ride from everything.

Pros: The size and location, also the fact that it has easy access to main attractions of the area and is situated in a quiet and peaceful environmen
Cons: Only comment is it needs more TV channels, only had Skynewsl e.g minimum 1 more channel in English, but not another news .
Location: We loved the beach and restaurants in Olhos d'Agua. As we had a car it was handy to visit nearby towns like Albufeira and Quarteira.
Just what I was hoping for. Previous guest reviews proved accurate and described exactly what I was hoping for on this holiday.
