Unappealing location, very noisy rooms.

We were located in an annexe which looked attractive from the outside, with its own own little outdoor pool. We didn't get one single nights sleep without being awoken by very noisy, sometimes screaming neighbours, noise from the scraping of furniture (beds?) in other rooms. One night reception phoned us at 01:30am to ask if we were the German family (we are not), there was screaming and swearing from a neighbour and the fire alarm went off. Another night we were kept awake for over an hour by a different, very loud electronic beeping, I rang reception and the man said he would come down to sort it out. The alarm did get switched off shortly after. We heard the television in our neighbours rooms until 2am, and could always here talking, people moving on the stairs.
The room was very small with no amenities and the only window opened out to look at a wall, but we did pay a budget price. Breakfast was fine (we paid for B and B), plentiful with a fair amount of choice of breads, croissants, cold meats and cheeses, eggs, bacon, cereals, fresh fruit, even soya milk. The coffee was unpleasantly bitter and the 'fruit juice' was cheap diluted cordial and bizarrely there was a sparkling white wine offered (which may guests drank). The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
