Staff clueless.Posted Nov 18, 2015
Pros: Only that it was near the main roads.
Cons: Staff knowledge.
The check-in staff did not know about local restaurant status (directed me to the nearest one, which was closed for the season), the condition of the recently flooded portion of the town (said "closed", but it was open for business where able, and very busy with cleanup and reconstruction), and gave wrong information on hotel "spa" procedures (did not even know a "towel card" from the front desk was required).

Nice hotel, 10 minutes walk from central AlbufeiraPosted Oct 26, 2015
A high standard hotel situated within 10 minutes walk from the centre of Albufeira. There are a number of good bars and restaurants very close by. The hotel is very welcoming and is clean and modern. The restaurant was good but I would recommend eating out in some of the great restaurants nearby. Both pools are very good and there is no problem getting sunbeds. The wifi was free and it worked very well. The is a supermarket and shopping mall 2 minutes walk away which is also very convenient. Upon leaving the hotel, we were invited to the hotel bar, where the manager offered us a free drink and asked how they could improve the hotel, which we thought was a very nice touch. This is a great hotel and should definitely be considered for anyone staying in Albufeira

Modern hotel in nice areaPosted Oct 8, 2015
Pros: I liked the location and style of the hotel
On arrival at the hotel I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the bedroom which had a nice view of the pool and gardens. My stay was during the 1st week of October so probably quieter than at the height of the season which suited me as I just wanted a relaxing week. The choice at breakfast was excellent, catering for those who wanted a cooked meal or those who prefer the continental option. The rooms were clean and comfortable though I wished I had taken my laptop with me as the English-speaking television channels were very limited. It was very easy to get to the beach and other parts of Albufeira via a road train which stopped outside the hotel every 20 minutes and the nearby coffee shop was ideal for snacks, meals and delicious cakes.

Nice hotel with excellent locationPosted Oct 8, 2015
Pros: Communal areas (including pool area) and rooms were very clean and maintained to a high standard. Very comfortable beds and an excellent location.
Cons: More staff needed at breakfast as they could not replenish food items quick enough. Tables too close together. Gym equip outdated & some out of order.
Location: Turn left out of hotel for old town and right for "the strip" - not too far to walk to either but a bit hilly. Land train does a loop of the area.
Stayed for 14 nights in September 2015 and had a very enjoyable holiday. Hotel is very good and we had a room overlooking the pool on floor 3, which was lovely and quiet and had the sun on the balcony in the afternoon and right up until sunset. Pool area very good with no problems in getting a sunbed on any day. Room was very well equipped and very nice to have a fridge to keep your drinks cold. Stayed on a bed and breakfast basis only as there was so much choice of places to eat outside of the hotel and we were keen to sample some typical portugese food. Would recommend this hotel for anyone wishing to stay on the outskirts of Albufeira old town. We did venture to "the strip" but preferred the atmosphere and ambience of old town as it was more relaxing.

Would stay againPosted Oct 3, 2015
Pros: Very clean and modern. Staff very friendly and helpful when needed. Good facilities generally.
Cons: The breakfast room. Very noisy. Kept running out of tea bags, cups etc. Could do with more Staff to attend to these things.
We enjoyed our stay at the Vila Gale. One of the best we have stayed at.

Nice hotel shame about the trafficPosted Sep 30, 2015
Pros: Food. Cleanliness. Staff.
Cons: Double glazing
Location: It is an easy walk to the old town and beach. Supper market and shops near by.
First about the good points. We found the hotel very clean, friendly, and all the staff could not do enough to oblige. The breakfasts where amazing, so much choice. We only had one evening meal and again the standard was high. We did not us the swimming pool, but it was nice to sit near with a beer. Now to the bad point. I spent four nights and never had one good night sleep. After talking to other quests if your room was at the rear of the hotel you where fine. Ours was at the front, as was another family member and we both said because of the road noise with traffic, it was like sleeping at the side of the M25 motorway. If they improved the double glazing I would not hesitate to book again.
