Value for money hotel
Posted Oct 14, 2013
Hotel Olympus is situated in a quieter part of town but not too far away from central Benidorm (Google map and street view it). This hotel does seem to cater for mainly Spanish people but so what? It's Spain! Food was varied and pretty good and the hotel offered free beer and wine for dinner guests. The beer was good local largers, but the wine was the cheapest available from the supermarkets and not really fit to drink! (A couple of cents more spent per guest would purchase much more palatable wine, so the owners/managers could easily address this!) The rooms were average in size and a little dated but that was not a problem. The twin beds were very comfortable. The Tram Station was close nearby (not so for central Benidorm users) and very nice day trips to Alicante, Denia and Calp were undertaken and recommended. This hotel is also near the local traders market held once weekly. All in all, a value for money holiday. (Booked independantly. Flightrs by Monarch, transfers by Resorthoppa, and hotel via Expedia. Saved 'loads of money!' (Showing my age now - and it was Harry Enfield).
