Very good hotel near the center of town

Posted Feb 6, 2017
Pros: Location, convenience for the airport, shopping and sightseeing. Room had iron, ironing board, kettle and toaster. Decent free wi-fi, and air-con
Cons: A safe in the room would be very helpful
Location: Very convenient.
The Elkira Court is a very nice motel near the center of Alice Springs, within walking distance of main shopping centers, Flying Doctor, Pioneer Women's Museum and Reptile Center. Freindly helpful staff. Ideal base for traveling around the area. Don't forget to visit the kangaroo sanctuary just outside the town.

Pros: Only the location.
Cons: Replace cleaning staff with people who care about their guests comfort.
Location: Alice has so much to offer. Views over the area from Anzac hill were great.
We booked this motel because it was shown on Expedia, and on several TV ads days prior to our stay. Location is good, motel looked OK until you opened the unit door. Floor was dirty, with dirt and pieces of paper still on the floor. We had to wear footwear at all times, the bathroom still had soap and shampoo wrappers in the shower from previous guests, shower glass was soap scum and overall very dirty. The rooms were not the rooms shown on Expedia website or on TV. We would not stay or recommend this motel to others.

Don't do it

Posted Nov 17, 2016 on Hotels
I arrived early in the morning and instead of making me wait for check-in they graciously upgraded me to a spa suite. Sounds great but was not. The spa tub was old and dirty. The room itself was clean but old. When I arrived back at midnight after an all day tour there were several large beetle-like bugs in the room. Since the front desk is not open 24 hrs there was nothing that could be done.

Sorry you didn't like being upgraded for free. Thanks for the feedback though

Back to the '50s

Room was reminiscent of a late-1900s style motel. Quite dreary, no microwave, very small room.

Good place to stay you can walk around cbd

Posted Nov 5, 2016 on Wotif
Pros: Our room was big , spacious and clean . The bed was huge and we had a beautiful sleep.
Cons: The aircon is very loud its the old 80s style hole in the wall , turn it on and you feel like a jet is ready for lift off !!
Location: Best location for central Alice cbd you walk to restaurants . Coles, Woolies and the mall are less than 5min walk

Great place - close to everything!

Posted Oct 18, 2016
Pros: LOCATION!
Location: Gateway to Uluru & Kata Tjuta National Parks. Read small print on Rent-a-Car contracts (!?!) NO unlimited mileage and Uluru nearly 450 Km distant.
Alice Springs is the only civilized settlement south of Darwin on the Timor Sea. It's a bit too far from Uluru & Kata Tjuta for day trips, but makes for a great base of operations for the Northern Territory including King's Canyon National Park and the bit more distant Anangu lands. Alice Springs is your only chance to indulge your 21st century needs; Elkira Court is comfortable and clean as well as affordable and at the center of this oasis settlement...
