This property was awesome!! The location was great! There were 100 elk on the property one night. The staff were super friendly! Alaina was the one working for most of our stay and she was amazing! The amenities here were also great!

Great vintage roadside motel. Spacious, clean, greeted by elk grazing in front yard, near restaurants, golf course across road, friendly and helpful staff and great view.

Very impressed with Elijah’s knowledge and willingness to help. He was very informative throughout my stay and provided insightful information regarding map directions, where to locate the national parks, and informed me that I needed to make a reservation before entering the Rocky Mountains—which I had no idea about. Upon first checking in, he was quick to welcome me and his eagerness to fulfill my questions made this experience comfortable. Overall, very satisfied!

We have stayed at this hotel many times through the years. We had not been there in 3 years and the remodel is outstanding!!
They still have one of the best continental breakfast with tons of variety. But the best part is the balcony views of RMNP from their third floor rooms. Highly recommended when making reservations. Ask for third floor balcony rooms that face RMNP.

We had a lovely time at the Emerald Mountain Lodge. The price was reasonable. There were so many outdoor activities for kids that they didn't even ask for the TV, laptop, or phone.

We were in CO to do some winter camping at Moraine Park CG but the February winds literally blew us away so we had to scramble for a Plan B: a bed and hot shower at a decent price. We found so much more!! After a rather exciting ascent up a super cool drive, we came upon The Historic Crag Lodge, our last minute Expedia deal and a little treat to ourselves. As the Lodge came into view, we were chuckling at a sign affixed to the Lodge greeting guests, it said 'Welcome Home' but as we were driving...

My family stayed in cabins 5 and 6 back in 1955 on a car tour through Colorado when I was 9. Estes Park was a lot simpler in those days and so were the accommodations. I recall cabin 5 because it had a doughnut-shaper boulder embedded in the earth in front of the steps, which I proceeded to trip over. This month (June 2014) I tripped on the same rock again. The cabins have been extensively rebuilt since then, with lovely functional kitchenettes and modern bathrooms with showers. My cabin was on...

We loved our stay at the Blue Door! Maybe it’s an older place but inside our room everything was neat, tidy, clean, and there was no ‘old place’ smell. The water pressure in the shower was great and the bed was very comfortable. It probably only took us ten minutes to drive to the RMNP entrance from the inn and the area was quiet.

Our front desk check-in attendant was amazing. Unfortunately, we did end up needing maintenance for a "small" issue and they were nothing short of fantastic. So nice and accommodating. We made last minute reservations and were granted an adjoining room to meet our family needs. The accommodations were great...from pool to game room to lounge area. Would highly recommend...especially if wanting to stay in a non-chain type hotel.
