Lovely family run hotelPosted Sep 15, 2015
Pros: Low key efficiency, attractive building, out of town in quiet area but close enough to walk.
Cons: Wifi hit and miss
Location: Fussen is a great base for the area and castles.
A lovely friendly family run hotel. Staff very helpful if needed, low key if not. Breakfast has great choice in very comfortable dining area. 10 minute walk to Fussen centre on very safe route. Quiet area opposite park.

Nice placePosted Aug 10, 2015
Cons: WiFi, fans
Location: about 1 uphill km from old town.
Had a great time. No air conditioning or even fans. So if it gets hot out then it's not that great. they had wifi but didn't reach our room. Very nice free breakfast.

Great Hotel in a Great LocationPosted Aug 10, 2015
Pros: The atmosphere, the accommodations and the staff.
Cons: The room could do with an box fan for the room. Even with the window/door open to the outside it was uncomfortable at night.
Location: There is lots of outdoor activities and it is a short walk to Fuessen's old town with is great for shopping and eating.
This was a beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. It was hot during our stay, and the only downfall was the lack of air conditioning or even a simple room fan. The hotel staff was warm, welcoming and accommodating. The rooms decor and atmosphere was fabulous, and the location was great. It was a short 10 minute beautiful walk into Fuessen's old town.

Convenient, quiet areaPosted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: Perfect location - quiet but easy to get to lots of things
Cons: Updating and sprucing up the grounds and facilities
Location: Close to the famous castles, nice biking and hiking paths easily accessible from hotel, beautiful lakes including swimming spots nearby, walk to town
The location of this hotel was lovely: quiet, near the river, and across from a park. It was easy to walk into town, and the hotel staff directed us to a nearby bike rental shop. With the bikes, we easily hopped on a biking/walking trail and were able to explore the area, including the castles a short ride away. The breakfast at the hotel was decent, and had a good variety. The only complaint I have is that the pictures make the place look much nicer than it is; it is definitely in need of some overhaul and updates. The property is just a tad rundown, especially the outdoor patio and the hot tub area. The rooms are very dated, which could be cute or quirky if things were spruced up, but instead comes off as tired. Nevertheless, for the location and price, and inclusion of breakfast, it is a good budget hotel. Note that the toiletries offered are basically from 1950 and include only the packets of body wash, so I suggest bringing your own.

Beautiful Manor - charming unique roomsPosted Jul 28, 2015
Amazing breakfast, great staff. I was worried the location would be far from town, but it was a really nice 10 min walk along the river. I saw some readers said the rooms were dated. Yes the room trim, wood and furniture was decades old but it was all very high quality, charming pieces. I would much prefer good quality character décor to brand new cookie cutter synthetic materials off gassing into our room. Front patio was beautiful. The "spa" is really just a small hot tub, a nice sitting area and a really nice sauna that would be great in the winter.

Pretty little hotel with great facilitiesPosted Jan 27, 2015
We (a family of 3 plus a little dog) hired the family suite during the low season. For 2 nights, we had this gorgeous little hotel all to ourselves. The suite we hired (aptly titled "The Suite") is spacious enough to fit three people comfortably, and the communal balcony offers great views of the mountains and forests. The suite has a queen bed and a single sofa-bed for children or additional guests. The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom was lovely and clean (shower + bath). The suite itself is made-up of a bedroom plus bathroom plus communal dining area with corner seating. The sofa-bed was situated in the communal dining area. Sadly, there is no dividing door between the communal dining area and bedroom. The room's decoration and furniture is basic, yet clean and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was very satisfying, and offered a range of cold cuts, rolls, yoghurts, cereals, coffee, tea, plus much more. The well maintained communal facilities include a whirlpool, sauna and solarium. The hotel offers a free bus shuttle service to and from Fuessen train station. The hotel is situated amongst other hotels in the tourist district, and is located approx 1.5km away from Fuessen town centre. The staff are all very kind, helpful and professional. I can certainly recommend this great little locality to others, and would not hesitate to stay there again.
