It is an excellent hotel with very friendly staff who are helpful at all times. It is right by the beach and near cafes bars and restaurants. The rooms are large and airy, comfortable and very well serviced every day. breakfast is a delicious buffet with lots of variety. I would most definitely stay there again.

The place was “OK”, a bit dated but comfortable. I was very disappointed by the laundry service: they charged me 100 Euro for a small bag of clothes that would have costed 15 Euro at a normal laundry place. Extremely overpriced for this type of hotel... The breakfast was also not great, just “OK”

The room was beautiful and large. Bathroom was also very spacious. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. Location was great, right across the street from the beach and a restaurant with an amazing beach barbecue paella. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely stay here and the hotel was lovely and clean, the pool was fantastic and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms could do with a bit of updating - they are quite old fashioned which is fine as they have nice character but some of the decor - particularly the pictures look a bit dated. In saying that the rooms were lovely and clean and we had a nice sea view. The one thing that would improve the rooms is if tea, coffee and water is available in the rooms. There were a few times when it would have been great to be able to make a cup of tea or coffee and we were unable to do so. It would also be nice if more toiletries such as conditioner, shower gel and body lotion were provided in the rooms. Not essential but would be a nice touch. These were very minor issues - overall we loved our stay. The pool is gorgeous and very quiet - plenty of loungers and easy to call the bar if you needed refreshments. The staff were what made this hotel fantastic as well as the location. Right on the beach - free sun loungers and if you wanted the cushion for them it was only 5 euros which we thought was reasonable. There are some lovely places to eat nearby, including Bola Marina, La Dolce Vita, Bambu and the beach shacks which I can't remember the names of. They all provided lovely food and great service. The staff in the hotel couldn't have done more for you and made us feel very welcome. Thank you!

Not quite 4* - but a good hotel
Stayed at this hotel for one week with the family. Two rooms, both generous in size but a bit dated. Beds very comfy but bedding not the crispest. Room cleaned daily and fresh towels everyday if you wanted. Bathroom good but only shower gel and hand soap available. Tiny balcony so couldn’t sit as a family whilst our granddaughter was asleep which was a shame. Side view to the sea. Breakfast good with a fair amount of choice - coffee, juice, eggs, bacon, Spanish sausages, peppers, cold meats, cereals, fruit, toast, etc etc. We sat outside every morning overlooking the beach (road in between) which was nice. Used the pool a few times. Small but perfectly adequate. Sun beds, umbrellas and tables at the front overlooking the beach. Hardly anybody up there so it felt like our private pool which was fun. Very quiet bar at night so only used it for our pre bed drink. Hired a car so used their car park - 22 euros a day so quite expensive but parking locally can be a problem. Very friendly staff especially Carmen on reception. It’s not quite as pretty as the photos suggest but nevertheless we had a good week there and enjoyed La Herradura.

A great place to stay in La Heradura
The location of this hotel is beautiful. As you walk out of the reception you are directly onto La Heradura beach and one of the most pretty bays in the Costa del Sol. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and spotlessly clean if not a little dated. The selection of food for the evening meal buffet was a little limited and if I stay again I would book breakfast only as there are many lovely restaurants along the beach front very close to the hotel.

Good hotel
Hotel has been in the village for years. Staff extremely friendly and Ramona on reception over night went out of his way to help us. Hotel across the road from beach but has its own pool on the roof. Basic but we were grateful that it was there as it was very hot. Rooms had air conditioning too. Breakfast was good too.

Great hotel at the beach with friendly staff
We were very happy with everything (breakfast, room, location, facilities), it was just a shame the mattraces were quite hard for comfortable sleep. We were also rating vey high the fact that we were allowed to use the pool after the check out on our last day.

Attractive hotel in an Islamic location
Our experience was very good. The only problem was the one evening meal we had from which we suffered for half the week (although this is difficult to prove). The staff were extremely polite and helpful.

Nice hotel very close to the beach
The staff were remarkably friendly and accommodating! The hotel is just across from a very nice beach. The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of variety (and those too delicious chocolate croissants!). We had a very relaxing time there.

Sol Los Fenicios was our 3rd stop in Spain. Lovely location, very quiet & safe. Excellent restaurants within a couple blocks. Side trip to Nerja Caves was fantastic. Decent breakfast buffet in hotel.

Clean, close to beach
Really enjoyed this hotel. It's so close to the beach, and it was fairly quiet the weekend we were there (mid-June). There were some great restaurants nearby. We also really enjoyed the pool, especially the view from there as you can see the ocean clearly from certain spots by the pool. We enjoyed this hotel and would recommend it! We hope to go back.

We were welcomed by the very helpful reception staff and given an upgrade. From previous reviews we were expecting to have to pay high car parking fees, these don't apply until July. The rooftop pool was lovely too. The buffet breakfasts were good with a large choice. We also had the buffet evening meal, also good. La Herradura has a great choice of bars and restaurants. Prices were low and there is a great tradition of receiving a free tapas with your first 2 drinks whether you're eating there or not. The resort was quiet in June the season starts in July. The only problem for us was the pebbly beach- take your plastic sandals if you want to swim in the sea!

Excellent position on beach relaxed atmosphere
The staff were friendly, helpful and hotel was lovely if quaint. Buffet style dining with good choices of food cooked well. The room was large with a small balcony and a side view of the sea which was across a fairly quiet sea front road. The beach is pebbly and the shoreline quite steep to the water which was clear and clean, the hotel pool is well maintained and a suitable size for relaxing. It is a bit deep for infants. The location was great, we hired a car which was essential for exploring both near and far, coastal trips and runs to Granada easily accessible.

A very good small hotel in a lovely location on the beach. The food is reasonable quality but plentiful. Overall a very positive stay at the the hotel. My only negative comments regard the very overpriced garage costs [at eu 17 per day] and internet access costs.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location being in between Nerja and Almunecar. Within walking distance of lots of bars and restaurants and the town. Only downside is beach, although just across the quiet road it is shingle and pebble so beach shoes necessary to go swimming.

Great Costa Tropical Hotel!
Great hotel in a great little town! La Herradura has escaped the southern coast building craze and is a perfect, quite beach town. Sol Los Fenicios is across the street from the beach with nice, comfortable rooms and a good restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the patio has perfect views. What more could you ask for!

Hôtel très décevant mais très beau spot
Hôtel très bien situé mais pas à la hauteur d’un Mélia 4 étoiles ! Chambre à la déco vieillotte, très mauvaise literie, nettoyage très moyen, climatisation mal odorante, pas d’oreiller supplémentaire, pas de coffre-fort, langue parlée uniquement Espagnole et anglais uniquement à l’accueil, pas de bar au bord de la piscine mais un distributeur de boissons ! Au bar de l’hôtel impossible d’avoir un cocktail ils avaient juste du Martini et du rhum..! Pas digne d’un 4 étoiles! Par contre petit déjeuner et dîner très bon avec du choix et panorama splendide ce qui fait oublier un peu le reste !

hotel pendiente de una renovación interior, las habitaciones y baños un poco antiguas, resto ok. Seria interesante que en el parking instalaran un cargador para V.E. ya que en todo el pueblo no hay ningún cargador y puede ser un punto a favor del hotel.

El hotel estaba muy limpio pero han reducido al máximo el personal y la atención es deficiente a pesar de que los trabajadores son muy amables. Lo pero el desayuno, muy malo: productos de poca calidad y muy poco variado. Tan sólo había una camarera para atender el desayuno que era muy amable pero no podía atender a todos los clientes. hacía mucho calor en la habitación y era imposible regular el aire acondicionado que daba de lleno de cara. En la piscina no había servicio de bar por falta de personal.

Das Hotel ist nah am Strand gelegen. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und groß. Frühstück sehr gut, Service perfekt. Kann "leider" keine Kritik geben.

Dejligt beliggende, lige ned til vandet. Personalet er utrolig venlige og hjælpsomme. Morgenmaden var god og varieret. Hotellet er 4 stjerner, men værelset lignede ikke et værelse på et 4 stjernet hotel. Møblerne virker ældre og sengens madras var ikke særlig behagelig.

Toppenläge på strandpromenaden
Jättebra hotell, bekväma och rymliga rum. Bra frukost! Poolen på taket var bra, ok med solsängar MEN varför fanns det ingen möjlighet att köpa något att dricka? Det fanns en bar där uppe men den var aldrig öppen - jättesynd. Personalen var väldigt hjälpsamma.
